This week’s takeaway: Our fallen nature, the fallen world, and the powers of Satan and his fallen angels hold themselves up as a formidable and fear-evoking force. And by our own reason or strength we are no match for any of the three. But do not be duped by enemy propaganda, all the broken sinful powers of this world are no match for Christ the King. In fact, ALL things (even and especially the things that terrify us) have been placed under Jesus’ feet. This means that even in the most terrible circumstances we, the baptized children of God, can keep calm and follow our Savior and King.
