Keep Da Bass Rollin´

KEEP DA BASS ROLLIN´ vol 25 - audite

For many years audite has been enchanting with a colorful cupboard full of variety - whether within its sets or as a mixed series that couldn't be more exciting. With feeling he draws calm, brutal, deep, relaxing and violent tones into his arrangements. This leads to wonderful combinations and compositions, which do not let the dance floor rest and which trigger highly effective movement therapies. Every heart that is present on the floor is sure to shine from time to time - depending on the stylistic favorite in different places. The man understands his craft and fills it with understanding, skill, heart and love.

In addition to the activity of always providing musical surprises with its impressive diversity, it is also an important part of the Leipzig scene. Here he has been making an enormous contribution for many years in the form of various party series and lets the broken beats in Leipzig live and breathe.

Check out audite´s dark stepping but straight forward rolling set, full of deep goodness and some interesting experimental cuts. If you like what you are hearing, please share the mix, tell your friends and don't forget to subscribe to the podcast!

KEEP DA BASS ROLLIN´ vol 24 - The Green Man

The Green Man (TGM) is a Junglist and Drum & Bass artist from the very beginning. His sound moves between Jungle and atmospheric sound, often deep and often a bit subversive. It's about sound that you can feel - just like the mystical “Green Man” figure stands for following your inner voice.

He likes to combine organic with electronic sound. As an artist he always tries something new, as a DJ he likes to create elements of surprises in his sets. On his label Basswerk he discovered and released greats like Camo & Krooked, Phace & Misanthrop or Command Strange, as The Green Man he had hits like “Easy”, “Hardcore Junglist”, “Infinity” or his collabs with Peter Bouncer and Demolition Man.

In the sampler released in 2019 for the 22nd anniversary of Basswerk, he collaborated with vocalists such as Navigator, Skarra Mucci, David Boomah and Chevy. He also released an album with Hip-Hop-influenced rapper Kingz.

He is always represented with a remix on new Basswerk releases. The last ones were “The Sound Changes You” - a Jungle remix by the Cologne crossover reggae band Bermooda and “Change” by Da Real Sound & Nikita Candis.

You can find his releases also on several other well known labels like Dread Recordings, Function Records or Beatalistic Recordings, to name only a few. And as if that wasn't enough, Heiner Kruse also works as an independent Author for different magazines and book publishers and has written some books about music production...

...and the list goes on, please visit one of his websites to get to know more about this exceptional artist and his countless projects.

The Green Man´s guest mix is a Beatalistic Recordings mixtape full of soulful Liquid rollers, heavyweight basslines and some unreleased goodnes by TGM himself! All tunes will be released as an analogue mix cassette (Download included) on Beatalistic Rec on Nov 6th, how cool is that? Enough said for today, turn up the music and don't forget to subscribe to the podcast!

KEEP DA BASS ROLLIN´ vol 22 - Tra:Fo

Get ready for an extra-dark and fast-rolling Quality Dj Mix by Tra:Fo! This guy knows how to combine a lot of different styles in a short time without killing the vibe!

The North Germany based Dj and Producer allready discovered Drum & Bass in the midnineties at a younger age and returned to his roots in late 2006 and decided to play exclusively drum'n'bass. From then on, after finding ID's of the tracks he loved, all the money was spend for vinyls from the good old days 1996 - 2001 to be able to play the great dnb classics. Since 2011 Tra:Fo mainly plays clubs and festivals in north germany and the area around hamburg.

By the affection for this music came the desire to produce his own tracks and contributing a part to this ever-growing scene. So in 2012 tra:fo began to build his homerecording studio with the aim to produce quality tunes and create his own timeless sound. In 2014 trafo also started organising his own dnb events called 'outbreak' with his mate dj effex after contributing the events 'warp!' and 'sinking in bass'.

KEEP DA BASS ROLLIN´ vol 18 - Kardia

Although Kardia started playing Drum & Bass about 10 years ago, he is more known for his sets around 140 bpm, but since 2019 DnB has been an integral part again. Therefore it was the perfect time for him to contribute a mix for the KDBR podcast.

After some years in Hamburg with some Gigs here and there, Kardia launched his own party series called "Sub:District" in 2016. It was initially planned as a pure Dubstep night, but now Dub and Drum and Bass have a permanent place. Kardia always tries to combine a colorful mix of influences in his sets with the focus on the good vibes, but for this podcast he is immersed in the deep and melodic vibes of drum and bass.
