Keep It 99

On Sunday (July 11), Da Baby used his Instagram story to post a video of two teens trying to sell him some candy. The only problem was that their prices were way on the high side, and Baby was just a little too knowledgeable to let it go. Da Baby asked the kids how much did the candy cost, and they gave him an answer except the numbers didn't add up. The candy they were selling cost $64 not $200. Many on social media went to argue Da Baby's methods and some saying that he should have given them $200 hundred since he is rich while others stated Da Baby was right not to reward bad behavior. In other news related, Soulja Boy gave some kids a band for being honest and giving the correct $5 price tag. We discuss. Social Media is trying to stir up the Will Smith and Jada drama by saying Will is with Jordyn Woods mother Elizabeth. Loki and the Flash Reviews are kind of up!

Stephen A Smith had an interesting Monday following a busy Weekend. He starts off by stating that Los Angelos Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani cannot be the face of MLB because he doesn't speak English. The statements caused an uproar due to the perceived notion that only English-speaking people are true Americans, and a person who can't speak English as Stephen A Smith proclaims can't be the face of America's Past Time. Stephen A Smith also offends Nigeria stating that Team USA should be embarrassed for losing to them. Speaking of Team USA basketball team loses again to Australia. The basketball teams don't look focused or a good fit with each other and it perceives a new problem with how we play basketball in the NBA. I also discuss whether ESPN and Sports Media are failing and ultimately dying. The lack of interest in fundamentals over clickbait titles that get good views on YouTube. The need for viral opinions that get those people paid more due to viewership is watering down the sports programming which at one time was predicated on the sports and not the individuals.

Today we discuss White Guilt and the role it is playing in Critical Race Theory and why said theory is being argued about so frequently specifically in White America. The theory seems to have 2 participants both being represented by white guilt and self-preservation. We discuss is white guilt necessary and why it is both helpful and harmful but ultimately leading to no results in the equality of African Americans as well as other races throughout the United States. What is Equality? What is White Guilt! Is Critical Race Theory here for self-preservation or attacked for self-preservation?  White guilt[1][2][3] is the individual or collective guilt which is felt by some white people for the harm which has resulted from the racist treatment of ethnic minorities such as African Americans and indigenous peoples by other white people, most specifically in the context of the Atlantic slave trade, European colonialism, genocide of indigenous peoples, the Holocaust and the legacy of these eras.  In certain regions of the Western world, it can be called white settler guilt,[4] white colonial guilt,[5] and other variations, which refer to the guilt more pointedly in relation to European settlement and colonization, such as in Australia and New Zealand. The concept of white guilt has examples both historically and currently in the United States and to a lesser extent in Canada, South Africa, France and the United Kingdom.[6] White guilt has been described by psychologists such as Lisa B. Spanierman and Mary J. Heppner as one of the psychosocial costs of racism for white individuals along with empathy (sadness and anger) for victims of racism and fear of non-white people.[7]  critical race theory (CRT), intellectual movement, and loosely organized framework of legal analysis based on the premise that race is not a natural, biologically grounded feature of physically distinct subgroups of human beings but a socially constructed (culturally invented) category that is used to oppress and exploit people of color. Critical race theorists hold that the law and legal institutions in the United States are inherently racist insofar as they function to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites, especially African Americans.

Today in What's New 99 Sports the future of Sports Podcast we discuss the NBA Conference Finals are here and the NBA has presented a lot of teams that have not been there a lot or at all. This is the Los Angeles Clipper's first time going to the conference finals in their NBA history. The Bucks are back but haven't been to the Finals since the 70s when Oscar Roberson and Kareem were leading them to the NBA Championship. Atlanta hasn't been to the conference Finals in years if at all led by Trae Young. The Suns led by veteran floor general Chris Paul and NBA sharpshooter Devin Booker to their first conference finals since Charles Barkley led the to the Finals against Michael Jordan in the early 90s. In other NBA News Dame Lillard is rumored to be upset with the recent actions of the Portland Trailblazers wondering if they can win him a championship. Zion is looking for a bigger market reportedly by his family members. Dame and Zion are two stars in smaller markets that might fit together or maybe better off someone else. We discuss if the NBA has a way to keep them in their perspective places. Simone Biles is the best athlete of all time. Simone skills in gymnastics is far beyond anyone in her own sport. We discuss how they are even fixing the rules to nerf her. The Phoenix Suns are up 3-1 on Paul George and the Kawhi Leonard less Clippers. They are looking to close out tonight in the Western Conference Finals which are featuring the Suns vs Clippers. In the Eastern Conference matchup, we have the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis vs Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. This series hinges on the shooting and now the ankle of the young Trae. The Bucks seem too big and athletic for the really skilled Hawks team.

Ben Simmons a player from LSU who sat out because he said he didn't need his coach. We are talking about how mental health can affect Athletes. Ben Simmons is a player who said he didn't need Kobe's advice or help. Ben Simmons of the Philidelphia 76ers hasn't improved his shooting in games. His ego has been fractured and now the pressure of the world is on Ben Simmons and the Philidelphia 76ers have to deal with it. He has problems that many athletes now have to deal with. Ben Simmons's personal life is rumored to be a problem. Fans are tough on Ben and Simmons will have to deal with it. He has to procure his mental health while navigating his life situation. A Dimming Start can shine bright again, but he must find people and find it in himself to succeed after such a failure. I pray Ben Simmons can do it whether it's with Philidelphia 76ers alongside Embiid, or somewhere else.

In todays Sports Podcast it's completely about the NBA. We talk about Ben Simmons, Doc Rivers, and the 76ers. Devin Booker got a Triple Double We discuss if they should and can trade Ben and release Doc Rivers. Can the 76ers trade Ben Simmons with his contract. Ben Simmons was terrible in the NBA Conference Semi-Finals against the Atlanta Hawks as his Philidelphia 76ers lose to them in Game 7. Ben Simmons did well in most areas of the floor except scoring where it seemed they were going 4 on 5 on offense. Ben Simmons even passed up an open shot under the goal instead of dunking. Ben Simmons wasn't the only problem with the Philidelphia 76ers. Doc Rivers again lacked in game adjustsments! Doc kept George Hill on Gallinari allowing Galli to average 16 pts a game! He also Kept Seth Curry on Hubert which both of these players destroyed the 76ers! Embiid played well but he had too many turnovers and it looked like Doc didn't adjust from the Turnovers to bad fouling to All Bench Lineups. His Former Team made it to the conference finals under Tyron Lue. Unlike Doc Rivers Ty Lue made adjustments and put his team in the best sitaution to make the NBA Western Conference Finals. The Clippers lost game 1 with an amazing Triple Double by Devin Booker. Devin Booker took up the playmaking role for a lot of the game due to Chris Paul being out getting 11 assist and setting up some amazing plays. When they got down Booker took over his usual role scoring a lot of his points in the 2nd half of the NBA Western Conference Finals. The Milwaukee Bucks overcame a big game from Kevin Durant to go to the conference Finals.

Is Cancel Culture Real? | Do We Bow To The Mob? | Are We The New Back In The Day | What's New 99  Today Zelmae and Uniqo discuss the changing world and cancel culture. Katt Williams brought up the point that cancel culture is not real and that nobody has truly been canceled that didn't deserve it. He stated that people are holding others accountable and that is what we want. We discuss the possible good of cancel culture as well as the bad of cancel culture. On Youtube, we are looking up the definition and explaining the arguments made for and against cancel culture. Are we arguing against accountability vs Responsibility? Is it just business and we have to adapt. Are we hanging on to the old ways as the world is changing? It's a lot to think about in this toxic non-debate culture as we praise it and rant against it and hopefully explain it well.

Doc Rivers made a lot of questionable coaching decisions in the 2nd round game 1 of the NBA Playoffs between his team the 76ers vs Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. A lot of coaches are getting fired but ultimately will go on to get other jobs not giving many new coaches a shot. Is it the organization and the player's fault for this? We discuss the end of the first round and the 1st games on the 2nd rounds of the NBA Playoffs. We also discuss mental health and Naomi Osaka.
