This message is the last of 4 messages in this series. The focus is prayer. We look expositionally into the example that Jesus gives in The Sermon On The Mount in Matthew 6:9-13. I believe the biggest mark that many biblical churches lack is prayer, both corporately and individual Christ followers. I hope this podcast helps encourage you and your church.
This past Sundays message was working through Acts 2:36-47. It focuses on 4 things that are happening in Jerusalem, in the very beginnings of a new community that God was building through the new believers and the power of the Holy Spirit. The 4 things happening in genesis of the church was the preaching of the Word, fellowshp, the breaking of bread, and prayer. All 4 of these are essential for a healthy church. Likely, the biggest one that many churches lack is prayer.
This is the 2 message in a message series titled "Helthy Church". This week is the Woman at the Well, John 4:4-42 , and the truth that a healthy church makes disciples by trusting the Holy spirit to use the power of their testimony about Christ to draw others to Himself. Jesus is the hero of our story, not us. It is extremely important that we be sharing our story with others. Go public with your faith.
This is an edited repost of Week 1 in a 4 week series on marks of a healthy church. This week we look at The Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37. A healthy church is a church loves well. The neighbor in Luke 10 is not whom one would think. There is a plot to Jesus' parable. Are you neighborly?
In this episode, Week 1 of Healthy Church, we look at the first mark of a healthy church and unpack the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37. A healthy church loves their neighbor. Jesus reveals to the lawyer in the parable that the neighbor is not who he thinks it should be.
This is the last sermon in the Sermon on the Mount Series. In this message, I wrap up the 8 weeks by looking at Jesus' encouragement to Paul to return to Corinth and keep speaking the gospel, because "I have people here that belong to me". Please and enjoy.
This is the final week of the Sermon On The Mount as my time in Essex is coming to an end. I hope you have enjoyed this series. We will be in Matthew 5:38-48.
This week we work through 4 of 6 laws that Jesus brings out the full meaning of: Anger, Lust, Divorce, and Honesty; Matthew 5:21-37. Hope you grow from this!
This week sermon is from Matthew 5:17-20. I am talking about a righteousness that is greater than the Pharisees. I note an important truth...culture has relaxed God's law to make it easy to obey, but His law was never meant to be relaxed, but upheld as Holy. Enjoy.
This Week, Salt and Light, Matthew 5:13-16. This is one of my favorite passage and I hope it will encourage you to have courage in a world that stands against truth!
