Welcome to Keep Streets Live Podcast Ep. 6 where I've interviewed violinist Pete Hartley.
First we chat about Pete's meetings at the Musicians Union Headquarters in London.
Then I ask Pete about his work with founding Director of Keep Streets Live Jonny Walker.
Pete talks about his idea for the nation wide booking system he had which was in contrast to Jonny's idea of the streets being free and open to everybody.
Then we chat about booking systems and playing music in shopping centres. Pete talks about his experience of busking in the tube for 18 months in the early 80s.
I ask Pete about how the busking's going at the moment. He says he's only been doing it 42 years and still doesn't know what the secret is and tells us about some recent busking days.
We chat about playing crowd favourites and Pete asks me how things are going with The Moot.
To finish Pete tells us about his music he has submitted for this podcast.
This podcast is also on i-tunes and youtube.
Thanks for listening,
