The planet is a theater of war. And the 21st century is off to a terrible start with wars, violence and death in a host of conflicts. Every day we hear reports of some terrorist blowing himself up, or car bombs killing or maiming innocent bystanders. We hear of murders on every hand, political deception lets the powerful impose their will on the powerless. Such is the background noise of the 21st century in which we live. Today, we are going to look at a very serious time in Elijah's life, a time when he failed the Lord. Yet it is a time that reveals the love of God for His servant. It reveals His tender care even in the midst of a mistake.

The ecumenical movement is aimed at bringing non-Catholic churches and religions back to Rome.
