In John Chapter 16, Jesus spoke to His disciples about His return to the Father, in which He knew would happen soon. The disciples become puzzled. Jesus had in fact been preparing His disciples for His departure. 

The idea of Jesus is leaving caused the disciples to be both fearful and sad. But, in order for Jesus to complete His atonement for sin, it was necessary for Jesus to leave, to go through what He had to go through. Jesus let the disciples know, if He didn’t leave, the promise of the Holy Spirit would not be fulfilled. In the same way, there are certain people, places and things we may try to hold on to that can block what God promised to do through us, for us, and all around us. 

So, The Questions Are::

What Needs To Go In Order For What God Promised To Come? 

What are you holding on to that's not adding any value to you, your family, and your community? 

What have you allowed to take root in your life, that’s blocking what God has been preparing you for?
