In John Chapter 16, Jesus spoke to His disciples about His return to the Father, in which He knew would happen soon. The disciples become puzzled. Jesus had in fact been preparing His disciples for His departure. 

The idea of Jesus is leaving caused the disciples to be both fearful and sad. But, in order for Jesus to complete His atonement for sin, it was necessary for Jesus to leave, to go through what He had to go through. Jesus let the disciples know, if He didn’t leave, the promise of the Holy Spirit would not be fulfilled. In the same way, there are certain people, places and things we may try to hold on to that can block what God promised to do through us, for us, and all around us. 

So, The Questions Are::

What Needs To Go In Order For What God Promised To Come? 

What are you holding on to that's not adding any value to you, your family, and your community? 

What have you allowed to take root in your life, that’s blocking what God has been preparing you for?

In this chapter along with the previous chapters Moses was addressing the children of Israel, sharing with them all the Lord had spoken. Concerning the land God promised to give them, what they must and must not do along the way and as they enter the promise land, the land flowing with milk and honey. 

God expressed His desire for commitment, while also declaring His faithfulness. God instructed the children of Israel to obey all of His commands, decrees and regulations. And as long as they obeyed Him all would be well. God declares that He indeed is God, and keeps His Covenant, in which we can also say His Promises. A covenant being a promise or an agreement. 

Out of all we’ve experienced and been through throughout lives, out of all the moments we’ve had. The good times, the bad times, times when we were doing our own thing, times when we were in the world living like the world. But thank God that through it all, and even as we continue to press forward, He’ll always keep His promises and do what He said!

The people of the tribe of Levi received their cities with their common-lands. The leaders of the tribe of Levi ask for what was promised to them. Cities were appointed to the Levites, according to their three main family divisions.

God made promises, and saw to it that what He promised was fulfilled. Joshua celebrates and acknowledges God’s faithfulness for keeping His promises. Joshua 21:45 firmly establishes this truth: "God keeps His Word". Not one of God's good promises has ever failed, not before the time of Joshua, not after, and even not now. Isaiah 54:10 NLT reminds us that God's love for us is unfailing. Reading the book of Isaiah, we learn that God had been angry at the people of Israel. They had gone through wars and suffered God's rebuke. Yet God assures them even if the hills and mountains go away, He will still love them.

This is God's love and concern for us as well. God’s love has always been available and with us all, to gain and have peace and security in Him. Ever since God created us, He has loved us unconditionally, supplied all of our needs, leading us all to this present day, and even as we continue to press forward. 

God will rebuke and correct His children for sins, moments we we've made mistakes/fallen short of His Glory, but, He will never not cast us away! Family, with God, you are loved, cared for, and protected at all times! Keep your faith in motion knowing God will always love you unconditionally, and that every promise God declared in His word is guaranteed to be fulfilled in your life!

John CH 5 reveals Jesus healing a man who had been crippled for thirty-eight years. This is the third of John's seven ''signs'' of Christ. Interestingly, the crippled man expresses no prior knowledge of Jesus, nor any overwhelming desire to be healed. But, Jesus restores the man, then tells him to walk.

John‬ ‭5‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease they had.”

‭In John 5:7 NLT the man says: “I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.”

‭‭God is showing us that miracles are in rotation! Miracles are always happening!
