“There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” Proverbs 4:12 NIV There is a way that looks right but can take you so far off your course, and it’s important that we pay attention to those things because it can keep up away from the plans God has for us. We think that God is a “because I said so” parent but the thing is he wants to protect you from the things of the world, see the wide path says drink until you over does but in the end leads to sickness, and disease, the narrow path tells you to sleep with whoever but ends in unplanned pregnancies, abortions and STDs....the narrow path gives you life, gives you a future, gives you hope and leads you to walk into the fullness of who you were made to be but you have to make a choice. Do you want it now or do you want it forever? Think about it this week. Meditation on Psalms 112:1 “Praise the LORD. ‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2:1‬ It’s time I get into position this season to win, to take back what belongs to you! So many times we let the diagnosis, the heart break, and the bank account define our position but do you know that God has called you to win, we have to take our position so that He can crown us! And stomp on the enemies head! I command Satan to get His hands off of what belongs to you in Jesus name! This week I want you to meditate on Habakkuk 2:1 and write down three things you’re believing in God for, my prayer is that Jesus will show you what your next move is. Just trust Him enough to make it. God said your future is bright and if you’d just trust and believe in the one He has for you then you’ll be just fine. TRUST him and let Him direct your paths! Meditate on 1 Peter 5:8-9 this week and watch the transformation of your mind and renewing of your spirit from this incredible Word. “ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke 15:7 NIV God will leave a million people who pray, worship, go to church, follow all of the laws in the book for one person who does not. Don’t allow your pain, brokenness and sin to keep you away from the Love that Jesus has to give. He wants to draw close to Him, not away from Him. He has a future for you, and desires to know you more. Just reach out, His arms are there waiting for you to grab hold and hang tight! This week I want you to draw a circle, and on the outside of the circle write the reason you think your relationship with God is strained and then draw a heart in the center of the circle! Let that be a reminder of How big God’s love is and allow that love to push all the broken parts of you to the side, allow that heart to strip you from the things keeping you from the relationships Jesus desires to have with you! “For it is God who works in you, to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.” Philippians 2:13 NIV It’s so easy to fall into someone else’s purpose because it looks good, but what did God place inside of you? We have to remember that we are all on earth on purpose and with purpose and we’ve gotta focus on that things because our purpose can be that very thing to help others, set someone free, create hope and a future for someone else. Don’t get lost in who is doing what and why you should do it better — when you’re walking into what God told you to do...the rest follows. He will provide all you need and more just continue to keep your eyes on Him and trust that He will make a way. This week be sure to meditate and memorize Romans 8:28 “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Get started on the very thing you think you can’t do, the thing others told you that you couldn’t and wouldn’t do and trust that God will help you accomplish everything dream your heart desires. It’s not too late, you can still create a position at your office, that business can still be started! That degree is one class away. Just do it. It’s your time to be who God created YOU to be, it’s time to fulfill YOUR purpose and stop living in someone else’s. “For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13 God is a promise keeper and everything that He has said about you and your life shall come to pass but you’ve gotta have faith to get there! We sometimes forget that He creates us all with special gifts, talents and destinies because we get lost in what the world told us, what someone else thinks of us or the lies we believe about ourselves. But it’s time for us to get back in place and position ourselves to receive everything that God has promised us. God is faithful, and will give you everything and more than you could ever dream of but you must: 1. Ask for it. 2. See it already being done/happening. 3. Trust that He will do it. 4. Discover what His word says about it and stand firm on that! This week I want you to find out what the Word of God promises you and get back in a position to receive all that He wants to give you. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 ESV One of the easiest things to do is settle, but the amazing thing is we have a hope in Jesus that we will get all that we desire if we are faithful to Him first. See Jesus knows us so well and He has a person fit for us, so why do we settle? In most cases, it’s because we don’t want to be alone, or we don’t see ourselves and value ourselves the way that God does. Take a step back and reevaluate your relationships, why did they end? Do you see a pattern? Do you know yourself? Do you love yourself, can you see yourself with you? Grab a journal, write down these questions and think about them this week, be sure to meditate on Jeremiah 29:11 and remember that God’s plans for us are greater than anything we could imagine. So seek first His kingdom and live righteously so that you may have the things you desire, I pray that God brings intentional people in your life, and that you start to see what He sees in you! I pray that you are free from unequally yoked relationships and I come up against and toxic friendships, relationships and soul ties, I command them to be broken in Jesus name. Amen! But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 Do you know who you are? Comparison is the very thing that keeps us away from who God created us to be. We spend so much time craving the life we want that it causes us to idolize other people, where we want to be and who we want to be instead of being content where the Lord has us. Comparison will leave you feeling insecure, unhappy and empty — all spiritual attacks to hinder you from all that God has put within you. I challenge you to stand on the Word of God and what it says about you this week & learn that you are chosen, you are dearly loved, you are God’s masterpiece, you are fearfully and wonderfully made and Jesus created you to be who you are. So be confident in what He called you to be, not who you think you should be or who someone else is. Your identity is in Christ Jesus and we miss out on the very thing that God wants for us because we get stuck in who and what we want to be or what the world tells us we should be. I pray that this blesses you and encouraged you to discover the purpose that God has for you and become all that He’s created you to be. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” James 4:4 NIV The world has so many options to choose from and they all look like the right way because society says so, yeah it looks fun and feels right plus everyone else is doing it — but the truth is it’s damaging you and the future that God has for you, Jesus knows best for us and we may not understand now why He tells us not to do certain things but later we will see that it was only to protect us and keep up on the right track, why wait when you can save yourself from destruction, the time is now. You decide and be sure to meditate on “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
