This year, out of a group of 5,000 district attorneys across the country, Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett was named the National District Attorneys Association’s Distinguished Chief Prosecutor. Blodgett has established programs to keep people out of the criminal justice system and believes in providing non-violent offenders with services and treatment in lieu of traditional prosecution. DA Blodgett joined Dan to discuss the importance of prosecutors being given the tools necessary to keep their communities safe.
