For Episode 33 I was joined by Shannon Ainslie, a DOUBLE SHARK ATTACK SURVIVOR and artic surfer.
In our chat Shannon describes and take us through the event and feelings of being a 15 year old kid getting attacked by two 4m great whites as well as the impact that this had on his life.
Shannon not only shares the event of this encounter but also his journey with his faith, mental health and path way to finding his purpose.
This was one of the greatest stories I’ve ever heard and I had goosebumps while filming it - I hope you guys do too. And as alway let me know what you guys think
This weekend @aimee.barrett.theron makes history by becoming the first female ref to ref in the United Rugby Championship! It's such an inspiring story of how Aimee has journeyed through her career to break all the barriers in her way. Goodluck for this weekend Aimee - cannot wait to see you kill it.
Episode 31 took my all the way to the UK to chat with current Wealdstone FC defender and former Crystal Palace player Nikola Tavares! I really enjoyed the insights that Nik shared into his journey, the culture that was cultivated under Roy Hodgson and the experience of sitting on the bench four times in the Premier League. Nik also shared about the pressures of training and the kind of expectations that your are required to meet at such a high performance environment.
I absolutely loved my chat with future Springbok Evan Roos. A man who at the young age of 21, has taken the South African Rugby community by storm with his performances but is one of the most humble guys I've had the privilege of chatting too and has such a big future in this game and in life. I hope you guys enjoy!
My most recent chat with Hurricanes flyhallf Ruben Love was super interesting as he shared his experiences as a young buck in the Hurricanes setup as well as the pressures that he faces together with the overwhelming and emotional feeling after a game.
