I understand that its been tough this past week with everything happening in my home country Nigeria. I decided to use this as a medium to encourage us in the fight and also remind us not to lose sight of the goal. The battle is a tough one but in the end we shall conquer. Over the years the gospel has been diluted I remember being taught In boarding school that hearing the gospel would limit your chances of going to hell. And boy oh boy that stuck! And so subconsciously I would always want to be around people who were preaching the said gospel. My heart was so full of fear that I never wanted to miss out on a chance to hear the gospel because I didn't want to go to hell.

But that's not the aim of the gospel, the gospel doesn't breed fear because the gospel is good news and not bad news.

The gospel is Gods free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord.The true gospel specifically refers to the means by which we are saved. In other words we are saved in faith by what Jesus did for us not by faith in what we do for him.

A short podcast on Growing spiritually as believers. Living a Christian life is not a religious life, it is a divine life. It is the life and nature of God in a human being. We need to understand that it a life given to us to live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and so you have to live it with a purpose. Studying the word of God is utmost necessity!!

God wants you to know from His Word that laughter is a healer. Your expression of joy is a good starting point for healing and restoration. Sometimes, when life seems to get tough, learn to pull back and laugh. Have a merry heart and a cheerful mind.

Interestingly, you don’t have to pray to God to give you happiness or cheerfulness; it’s a function of your recreated human spirit. You make yourself joyful with the Word of God. Remember, one of the fruits of your recreated human spirit is joy (Galatians 5:22); you’ve got joy in your spirit; and laughter and cheerfulness are expressions.

But God chose the foolish things of this world to put the wise to shame. He chose the weak things of this world to put the powerful to shame.

1st Corinthians 1:27

An instruction from the lord however simple is for your benefit.

When instructions are given you are to comply irrespective of where you are.

Sometimes as new believers the devil fills our mind with fear and worry.

But we shouldn’t let such thoughts longer.

He says in the verse above that he hasn’t given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of sound mind.
