  • Coach Tim Nonte Part 1, basketball, baseball and historian

Couldn't get it all in one show, Coach Nonte loves coaching, baseball, basketball and documenting all of it! An author of three publications for St. Johns, Loogootee, and Princeton. Just a fascinating story and Part 2 will be next Monday.... Little did I know I was he's sons roommate at Indiana State University. Little did I know former employee Jon Loftin played for him. • They call me Coach Worland, Principal Worland and Dave. A conversation with Dave Worland!

Today his favorite title is grandpa. Dave Worland talks about a career in coaching, being a principal and of course playing high school athletics at Lafayette Central Catholic! He attended Purdue University, receiving a B.S. in Ed in 1979 and a M. S. Ed. in 1986. Dave began his teaching career in the Lafayette Catholic Schools system as a teacher at St. Lawrence Elementary School from 1979 to 1981. Next he taught and coached at Washington Catholic High School (vice principal and athletic director) and at South Dearborn High School in Aurora, Indiana (teacher of English and boys’ varsity basketball coach). In 1988, Dave returned to Lafayette Catholic Junior/Senior High School as Vice-Principal, Athletic Director and Boys’ Varsity Basketball Coach. In 1990, he assumed the role as Principal of Lafayette Catholic and remained there until June of 2002, when he came to Cathedral High School as Principal just leaving last year. What a great conversation, enjoy and share.... Billy
