In this newest edition of KTR, I feature the passionate entertainment blogger, Harold Stokes, who's bound with "Glorious Purpose." Through his platform on Twitter and blog HLS Entertainment, he comes in conquered and prepared breaking down the show/movie rundowns, theories and recaps. Plus, he created his own alternative universe known as the "Stokesverse" (what a COOL name for a universe). Harold is truly one of the most hard-working people I've ever come across to and I'm super glad I brought him on the show. We discussed his humble beginnings of writing, turning that passion into a blog. What Harold and I have in common is that we're huge MCU and DC fans, so we broke down the topics from criticizing Zack Snyder's Justice League, to predicting the next episodes of Marvel Studios' 'Loki.' Happy Memorial Day to all men and women who has made the ultimate sacrifice to our country! You finally get to spend a Monday with THIS GUY!! In this solo episode, I reflect on my past four years at Merrimack College and how it transformed me as student leader and a filmmaker. I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media and it is an absolute testament on how far I've come moving towards the next chapter of my life.

In this edition, I had the upmost honor in interviewing one of the most prominent Xavier Alums who's currently working in the entertainment industry. His name is Sean O'Rourke. Sean, a fellow Xavier Alum of '98, and a Middletown, CT Native (REPRESENT), he's making incredible moves as a Producer coming into the spotlight. He currently works as Clearance Supervisor at Access Hollywood. Previously, he worked as a Video Producer at the 'Tonight Show with Jay Leno.' As an aspiring director/producer, Sean and I shared our similar experiences and love for entertainment. From discussing perspectives of the Xavier days, to talking about our favorite shows (The West Wing, Breaking Bad). What Sean and I really have in common when it comes to working in the industry is reaching and gaining opportunities. Sean had made that mark in his move to Los Angeles. Plus, after all the experiences he has gained over the years, he was an avid proponent in helping fund the school's well-known podcast Falcon Talk. He is someone who will guide me in launching my career and it's been an honor talking with him This is one of the important interviews I produced and it is definitely a fun one!

HAPPY MID-MARCH! In the newest edition of Keeping Things Reel, I get the chance to recap the 78th Annual Golden Globes take took place last February. Simultaneously in Hollywood and New York, film and television was celebrated by the best of the best in 2020. In this episode, I will discuss who the winners are, the snubs, and most importantly first award winners for actors and directors. SURPRISE!! In honor of the BRAND NEW YEAR, it would be very fitting to bring back the people who not only founded this iconic podcast but the people who were part of this incredible experience. When I was a freshman at Xavier High School, one of the first involvements I joined during my time was the small podcast club called "Falcon Talk" bringing the latest of all things Xavier. Matthew Barry, Bryan Hultgren, and David Hoover were the founders of this podcast. Those founders are the same people who became my closest friends and brothers a fellow man could ask for. In addition, Julen Ljambio, another Xavier Alum who also joined the podcast in 2016 became part of the reunion as well. In this very special episode, the founders of Falcon Talk take a trip down memory lane on how the podcast came to be. Plus, we reminisce from notable interviews of Xavier Alums to our funniest moments that might surprise our audience. This special episode holds near and dear to my heart. As a Xavier Alumnus looking back into my start in media production and podcasting, definitely brings back the nostalgia on how far I've come. This is truly the moment I will never forget forever.

In this edition of Keeping Things Reel, I had the pleasure of catching up with the good friend and mentor Eric Uhl. Eric was someone I looked up to for the past 3.5 years during my time at Merrimack. Eric is a fellow Merrimack Alum who graduated in 2019 and in 2020 with his Masters' in Higher Education. Eric and I met in humbled beginnings during my first Summer Orientation interested in getting involved with Radio during college. He was the former General Manager for WMCK Radio. Currently, he works as a Junior Digital Advertising Associate at Carnegie Dartlet in Westford, MA. 

In this episode, we discussed his creative process, especially through radio and marketing. Plus, as a diehard Marvel Comics and Spider-Man fan, we both discussed the superhero we know and love including movies such as, Into the Spider-Verse and the Maguire/Holland films.
