In a world where divorce rates are high and climbing, it is always a delight to hear of a marriage that has lasted more than five years.  Sometimes we attribute all sorts of rosy ideals to such marriages, and indeed, the longevity in itself is a remarkable accomplishment.  When you hear that someone is celebrating their 10th, 15th or 20th anniversary, you think wow!  They’ve made it!  And phrases like “happily ever after” spring to mind.
