  • Plotting 101: World Building
The amount of world building you do depends a great deal on the genre of the work you’ll be writing. Fantasy, urban fantasy, science fiction, historical and even westerns will require more research and world building than a novel set in a contemporary environment. We're chatting on Facebook tonight. Only members of the Writer's Table can join the chatroom (sorry!). The link is listed in the group in announcements.

  • Fandom & Junk: The Big Question - Episode 2
Timepiece asks: So when you’re doing your final edit – the line edit – do you have a list of things to search/replace, or at least search/check? Phrases you tend to overuse, homophones you tend to confuse, punctuation to check? I really like em-dashes but they’re really hard to insert as you go, so I use — and then replace when I’m done. And I know the correct usage of there/their/they’re, but it’s easy to type the wrong one when I’m trying to get stuff down. I feel compelled to check them all.Chatroom: http://keiramarcos.com/chat-room/
