Certainly, you are familiar with several kinds of human love, such as parent to child, husband and wife, and friend to friend. But the loves within Christianity must transcend the common love as God is its author. God IS love. Our worship, our faith, and our works must derive from and act in love. Let's look at some of these.

We have a promise, but we have a responsibility. There is a great reward and its price has been paid by our Savior. There is the way through Christ, but we must follow. There is a condition we must meet - there is an "if" in this grace and glory, and we are responsible to take God's free gift. But it must be received as God has instructed.

To be a Christian and grow in faith, there are several qualities to a faith that must abound in that growth. Faith must not be static or stagnant in the Christian, but must be supported by a growing knowledge and good works to attain a Godly worthiness to be called His.

Within that scene at the cross, we see two sides of guilty humanity. One of the thieves has given up on himself and resigned his life to one of hopeless sin. The other thief acknowledges his crime, his sin, and its consequence, but realizes there is a belief in one much holier, there is an eternal consequence, and there is a plan involving repentance and change where even the imminence of death does not make it too late.

Fathers, we have a responsibility to our children and this begins by understanding our relationship with our heavenly Father. As children of the Father, we are directed in spiritual love to know, understand, teach, and live as our Father has taught us, and so, we become that teacher to our children, also.

Of the several certainties of this life, life is not all that certain. Death, on the other hand... God's word brings certainty, promise, and fulfillment. As we live, we will form questions and seek answers, hopefully in the quest of spiritual knowledge. God IS the answer and His Son, our hope.

As was typically the case when Jesus arrives, there are a boat-load of questions. While we struggle with our needs and perceptions, making matters greater than their trivial origins, Jesus provides the answer. In fact, Jesus IS the answer and we should trust and place our faith in the Son of God.

Undeniably, a powerful force left for us to have, unconditionally, is God's love. You see, God is love. A central theme of scripture demonstrates the love God has for us. We can have salvation because of love.

While this time of year brings well-to-do advice from the older, more experienced crowd to encourage those who are younger and facing a new phase of life, there is some sound advice given to all of us for all times of our life found in scripture. Let's examine that wisdom given to us from God.

The numbers of examples in the list of biblical mothers is quite extensive. It becomes gloriously obvious of the plans God has for mothers. Greatness is conceived by the faith of not only mothers, but of their husbands, also. We are led by the faith of our mothers before it can even be a memory.
