Roger Matile has been the volunteer director of the Little White School Museum in Oswego since 1994. Last year, he was named an Outstanding Citizen Volunteer of the Year by the Illinois Association of Park Districts.

The city of Yorkville is displaying 25 students' artworks on downtown light poles to increase foot-traffic and to celebrate the unique character of the town.

Yorkville Mayor John Purcell recognized the 39th year of service for the organization with an official proclamation. Purcell said its members have “contributed extensive volunteers and money to charitable organizations.”
