Vin is the Founder of V-Squared and built the business from client 1 to one of the world’s oldest data and AI consulting firms. His background combines over 25 years in strategy, leadership, software engineering, and applied machine learning. Today Vin gives his take on the AI hype, what makes us uniquely human, and how companies can with with strategic changes around new large language models. Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Daniel Parris. Daniel is a data scientist and data journalist with over eight years of experience. He was one of DoorDash's first data science hires, and he currently invests in early-stage data products through Dash VC. He run the newsletter called Stat Significant, which crafts data-centric essays about pop culture phenomena, and Data People, a short-form interview series with world-class data professionals. Which I was featured in recently. In this episode, Daniel explains what it was like to work at a quickly growing company with an experimental culture like doordash, what he learned from his biggest mistakes, and why he decided to pursue consulting and data journalism.

Today, I had the pleasure of interviewing Gleb Drobkov and Mike Dezube. They are the founders of Charles River Data, a Boston-based data science consulting firm. 

Gleb is a returning guest and you can hear all about his experience as a data science consultant at bcg in episode 23. Since that episode, he has taken the leap to leave BCG and found CRD with Mike. 

Mike is new to the show and has a great wealth of experience working as an engineer and data scientist at google for 7+ years before starting CRD. 
In this episode Mike and Gleb go deep into how they started their business, why now is a great time for consulting and contracting, and the biggest differences between running your own shop and working at google or BCG.

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Greg Kamradt. Greg ( @DataIndependent )  has been in and around data science and analytics his entire career. Today I had the pleasure of interviewing JJ Allaire. J.J. is the founder of RStudio and the creator of the RStudio IDE. He is an author of several packages in the R Markdown publishing ecosystem including rmarkdown, flexdashboard, learnr, and distill, and also worked extensively on the R interfaces to Python, Spark, and TensorFlow. J.J. is now leading the Quarto project, which is a new Jupyter-based scientific and technical publishing system. In this episode we learn about why RStudio has now repositioned itself as posit, how it maximizes its open source nature as a B corp, and how JJ as a open source advocate views the private nature of many LLMs. I really enjoyed this conversation, and I hope you will as well!

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Abe Diaz. Abe is a Marine Corps veteran with a diverse background in data analytics consulting, financial analysis, recruiting, and supply chain management. Abe is also passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and embodies values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork.
