With Matt still on holiday (maybe we need to assess his pay and conditions), Radio Wings' main man Nigel Jones joins Jon to discuss another fascinating week in non-league football in Kent. We hear from both managers after the cup clash between Lydd Town and Deal Town was abandoned with eight minutes left to play - and will be replayed on Monday. Lydders joint-boss James Rogers discusses his side's performance in the game that was played, their fine start to life in the SCEFL and what tempted him back to management. Deal Town boss Steve King was sent off at the break of that clash on Saturday and he tells us about the bad luck that has hit his side so far this season, what he did after being sent off and his belief that things will turn around. Nigel's Welling have lost all four of their National League South fixtures so far but boss Danny Bloor tells him that the Wings are still upbeat, even though results are not matching performances just yet. We've got all the rest of the news from the FA Cup and the league programme and look ahead to a busy weekend which has some questionable scheduling from the National League. Plus there's lots of the usual chat and nonsense including farts, bad drivers, train passengers, It's a Sin and loads more besides. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
