Welcome to the first of many episodes of the Staff Series. In this series, we shall be discussing the University experience from the perspective of the staff.
In this episode, I speak with Emek Delibas, who is an academic at Kent Law School. She insightfully speaks about her experiences going to Kent as a student, and then as a lecturer. She openly discusses her awareness of Student's mental health issues, how to correctly tell students they're wrong, advice for students who are graduating, the usefulness of the law degree, and studying generally.
We touch on many more subjects, and I hope you enjoy it!
I am pleased to announce Episode 9 of Kent Uni Stories. It was a pleasure to be joined with the fantastic Kyle Gacheru Kiai! Join us as Kyle speaks on his experiences at university, growing up in Kenya, how football can push people apart, but more often, bring so many people together!
Our conversation covered how university has been for Kyle, how he threw himself into his experience, and he gives us, among other things, fantastic advice for prospective international students.

This is such an important episode. In this podcast, we have a discussion with the issues surrounding women's safety. We discuss what men can be doing to help make women feel safe, what conversations can be had around it, listening to those who feel intimidated, and how to approach these topics.
The goal of this was to open up a conversation which may be quite difficult, and get the message out there. We want to encourage men to try and understand how women can feel unsafe and vulnerable, and how best to address that.
Get talking!
