So begins Karen's tribute to Cokie Roberts, who passed away on Tuesday after complications from breast cancer. Karen was an intern for Cokie in 2000 -- her very first job at ABC (she never left!) and through the ensuing years, mentorship grew into friendship. ABC's Karen Travers looks back on the incredible life, career and legacy of the groundbreaking journalist who was an inspiration to so many.

In an investigation after that attack on the Saudi oil refinery, a U.S. team on the ground in Saudi Arabia has been gathering what a U.S. official calls "compelling forensic evidence" from the remnants of the some 20 drones and nearly a dozen cruise missiles. They have recovered a nearly fully intact cruise missile. And they're closely examining an image from Saudi social media: that appears to be missile wreckage. Adding to building evidence the attack was carried out by Iran and not Houthi rebels from Yemen, General Joseph Dunford of the Joint Chiefs told a reporter in London that, “Without prejudging intelligence, this looked like a very complex, precise attack, not consistent with previous Houthi attacks. We can say that now - that this attack was not consistent with previous Houthi attacks.” And while President Trump said that he thinks Iran “would like to make a deal,” on Monday, on Tuesday, Iran's supreme leader countered saying, "There will be no negotiations at any level with the United States.” ABC's Elizabeth McLaughin joins Tony From the Pentagon.

Many in Washington are wondering how John Bolton's exit will affect US foreign policy a day after President Trump fired his National Security Advisor. The President let the axe fall citing "policy disagreements." And disagree they did, Bolton even claiming he offered his resignation the night before the firing. CBS News has also learned President Trump was angry because he believed Bolton leaked a story that he wanted to explore the use of nuclear bombs to prevent hurricanes from hitting the US. More than 10 times the number of NYPD police officers have died in the 18 years since 9/11 as were killed in the terror attack on the World Trade Center itself. To date, 241 members of the NYPD died of 9/11-related illnesses -- compared to the 23 killed in the attack on the World Trade Center. The last 18 years have been just as devastating for the fire department. Twenty-two members of the FDNY have died of 9/11-related illnesses since the last anniversary. On Friday afternoon, their names will be added to the FDNY World Trade Center Memorial Wall. And today -- over 6,500 days after those attacks -- DNA testing is still being conducted to identify remains of those who perished in the towers. ABC News' Aaron Katersky is at Ground Zero and talks with Tony about what life is like nearly 20 years later.
