Kenyan President William Ruto has withdrawn a controversial financial bill. The bill sparked nationwide protests and violent crackdowns that resulted in 22 deaths. In a televised address yesterday Ruto announced the withdrawal of the bill citing the widespread expression of dissatisfaction from the public.
