October 10, 2020Dillon Vibes (Finally!)I am so happy to finally get Dillon Vibes’ story out. After a failed first attempt, I am very happy to have the opportunity to revisit with Dillon after some time from our first interview. I fought every instinct to ask the same questions and recreate that first interview but in reality there is no way we can recreate it as we have both grown so much since. Dillon has continued to grow his business in Dillon Vibes Photography (https://bit.ly/33LDinB ; https://bit.ly/34MidZc) and has started his own personal fitness training in Vibes Training (https://bit.ly/33M3mio ; https://bit.ly/2IcIuZ7). October 03, 2020Nick and Steve OdermannNick Odermann and I ran in different social circles during high school. We would have a sporadic class together and knew of each other but that was it. Steve Odermann and I were somewhat more acquainted as we crossed paths once in a while and shared the occasional “hello.” Once I found out that they had gone into business together to form the Odermann Brothers real estate, I had to hear their story. September 26, 2020Jake SmithJake Smith virtually sits down with me for this week’s episode. Jake and I met while working together at the Regal movie theater in Eugene for a couple months before I moved to Portland, OR. We had a great conversation as we touched base on everything from his relationship with his father to his fascination with Star Wars and how those movies helped him through the rough patches in his childhood. September 12, 2020Cody McCormickCody McCormick is a man that will always help and support his people. From my time with him as we worked at Nike Portland together, he treated everyone he encountered as a friend and I admired that. It was great to have him on the show not because this was his first podcast, but because he and I can talk about anything. September 05, 2020Zach Kelley (Coach at Cedar Hill High School)Zach Kelley and I played football together when we were kids and freshman in high school was our last year playing together. We follow each other on social media and I knew that he went into coaching after high school. As a fan of not just the NFL, not just college but of the sport all together, him becoming a coach makes so much sense. During what he calls “Coronacation,” Zach was able to write his first book “Simplified 4-2-5” and you are able to purchase it here: https://amzn.to/3by18Fi . He is currently a coach with the Cedar Hill High School Longhorns where they went 9-3 in the 2019 season. August 29, 2020Christ OchoaLearning a second language isn’t easy. I struggled learning spanish in high school and college during the process of having an english thought and trying to turn it into a complete spanish sentence. English is my primary language but for Christ Ochoa, she is a native spanish speaker from Venezuela. She immigrated over in 2018 and while she is still learning the language, she wanted to challenge herself and be a guest on my podcast show. She did an amazing job but I could still see the struggle in her face as she was trying to take a complete spanish thought and turn it into english. We had a great talk as we hit on her coming over to Oregon and trying to deal with a COVID world. Follow Christ on these platforms: https://bit.ly/3gDzLuI ; https://bit.ly/34K4ljV. August 22, 2020Jessica Ashman (Jessica Ashman Fitness)The main purpose of this podcast has always been about journey. How someone got from point A to point B and what it took mentally to get there. A next up purpose behind this podcast is just to reconnect and catch up with people I’ve lost touch with and I got to hit all the points with this interview. Jessica is extremely active on social media so I had that vision of her, but getting to talk with her and find out more about her fitness journeys and struggles with anorexia and mental health was a new and fresh view of her. August 15, 2020Amy and Jason Liwag (Little Shop of Pins)Amy and Jason Liwag started Little Shop of Pins in 2017. I came into contact with this company in 2019 and immediately fell in love because of how unique they represented the Philippines. Their whole collection of pins and stickers just made that love grow. When I reached out to both Amy and Jason to see if they would be open to being guests on my show, I wasn’t sure if I would hear from them. I am just a fan in Oregon wanting to hear their story but Amy and Jason have made it their constant mission to interact with as many people as they can - especially since a pandemic. Thank you Amy and Jason for taking the time to chat with me! August 08, 2020Justin JonesThank you Justin Jones for sitting and reconnecting with me for the the show! Going into this interview, I really wanted to get your opinion on Portland’s support of the Black Lives Matter movement. I have always thought about health and fitness and want to try and get into the best shape of my life but to see you put in all the work and making it, motivates me to push myself. August 01, 2020Kylee O'ConnorKylee O’Connor takes time out of her day to virtually sit down with me for this week’s episode of Keoni Chats. She is a former Track and Field athlete from the University of Oregon so I was excited to talk sports with her for a little as well as everything going on in society. Her and I met through DuckTV and I always admired her work. I also admire how crazy driven and competitive she is and where that has gotten her in life.
