Hello and Welcome to the Way of the Emotional Warrior Podcast. My name is Kai Ehnes and today I would like to celebrate with all of you my 1 year podcast anniversary. Woop woop😊)))))))))))
It is hard to believe that we have created 52 episodes. I realize that there are people that do that within a few weeks but one thing that has become abundantly clear for me over the past few years is that you have to believe in yourself. This podcast concept has been the fruit of intention and love. My goal was to share some ideas that I thought would be helpful to other people. The original intention was to talk about insights that would be backed up by neuroscience, philosophy and psychology resulting in an ever expanding set of tools for people to be able to uplevel their lives.
As with anything, one has to be ready for changes, some resulting from opportunities and others simple resulting from personal shifts. What has happened in 1 year of podcasting for me is the following:
1. I kept a promise I made with myself and my wife that I would put together a show every single week and that I would do so for the period of 1 year.
a. Done…I am so happy about that. There were weeks where the publishing deadline was encroaching so fast and I could barely get it done in time. Only once did I push it literally until 1 hour prior to publication. Eventually, it all became part of my life and Monday – Tuesday have become podcast days.
2. The different topics I write about have simply been an amazing topic for myself. Having to create an episode means to sift through what’s out there, let truth, science, and common sense pave the way. So, each discussion topic is an area that I have worked with in my own life.
a. Done
3. Reciprocity – My main social media hub in Facebook. Today we achieved a milestone of 6000 followers for the Way of The Emotional Warrior. Some weeks have had more social interaction than others and the lean times certainly made me question if I should continue. However, over the past week, I have begun to set up interviews for the podcast. I am starting to meet amazing people with amazing stories of emotional perseverance and authenticity. I am super excited to see what these interviews will yield.
a. Btw…if any of you feel so inclined, if you have good story about your emotional resilience, send me an email at [email protected]
4. Thank you – I am truly grateful to you for listening to my episodes.
a. My career as a teacher and professor always had people assigned to me. There was always an immediate audience. This is quite different. I had questions if anybody would listen. How would they find me? Are they getting any value from what I am doing? Let’s face it, there is a lot of content online. Why this podcast? Why this man’s ideas?
b. So, Thank you for participating. Due to the internet, this podcast has a global reach. When I look at the metrics, people are joining in from all over the world. That is simply amazing.
5. Promise continued – I will continue creating weekly shows for the next year. With new people jumping in with interviews, the scope of the ideas will get wider and deeper. I am honored and humbled to be able to put forth the Way of the Emotional Warrior.
6. I truly believe that people can live more and more amazing lives with more purpose and more fulfilment. Quality is the name of the game in an authentic life.
I hope you have enjoyed the past year and I look forward to what the next 12 months will bring.
~Peace
