Firing up the Commodore 64C I borrowed from my friend, and punching the code from my @FranLab T-shirt in. A good opportunity to explain what these lines do... because people kept asking Fran about it all the time, and like she said, it's pretty self-explanatory. JFGI, people...
Keritech lab gremlins were at it again, breaking audio feed in two scenes, so making this video took some editing and the sequence of events might seem illogical.
Sharing my big bench upgrade project. I had two days of work on it, adding an installation channel with sockets and all those custom modules, and an electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection mat which also helps against losing those pesky little buggers when I do some SMD work. It's pretty good at withstanding high temperatures, I can touch it with my soldering iron's tip and it won't burn or melt.
The Commodore belongs to one of my friends in the local retro computing community, the same who had me fix and mod his ZX Spectrum +2 issue 3 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmriYKS9FiQ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXwEaCsloms - check those videos out if you're interested in that particular model, I'm taking a deep dive there.
