After our Easter break Esther continues our series "The Power Of A Story" by talking about trees and asks the question "What does your Tree Life look like?". She considers 3 areas: Inside Condition v Outside Condition; Root Health; Damage to Self and Others.

This week is our Encounter Easter Guest Meeting. Esther speaks about Mary Magdalene's encounter with Jesus after the resurrection where he calls her name.

This week at Encounter people had the opportunity to share testimonies of God's goodness & faithfulness in recent times.

Our guest speaker at this week's Encounter meeting is Michael Bentley. He tells us the story of Noah from Genesis chapter 6 reminding us that the invitation to come to Christ will one day cease and asking us if we are ready for that day.

Esther continues our series "The Power Of A Story" by looking at the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:10-32. She looks at the 3 characters - the younger son, the father and the older son - to see what we can learn from each of them, how we can identify with them and what is there about them that can inspire us for our lives.

With the current war in Ukraine in mind, at this week's Encounter meeting Esther looked at the story of Horatio Spafford, who wrote the song "It Is Well With My Soul" as the basis for her talk in order to encourage us to trust that God is in control even though there may be turmoil all around us and in the world. She focused on 3 of the phrases "Through it all, my eyes are on You", "Let go my soul and trust in Him" and "It is well with my soul" and brought us a biblical perspective on each of them.

At this week's Encounter meeting we played a video of Sola Osinoiki's recent talk at House on The Rock church in London entitled The Mind Of God Now. Sola is known to many of us since he used to be an elder at our church until he moved to live in Germany.

After the meeting, Esther encouraged those of us who were able to stay to join her in praying for the war in Ukraine.

Our guest speaker today is our Senior Pastor, Simon Benham. He continues our "The Power Of A Story" series by speaking from Acts 3:1-10 about Peter healing the lame man at the gate called Beautiful.

Chris Barber continues our series "The Power Of A Story" by looking at the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:26-39. She asks what it is that defines us and talks about us carrying labels that other people have put on us.

Esther continues our series "The Power Of A Story" by talking about Truth & Lies - Jesus is truth and the devil is a liar. She asks the question "Where is our agreement?" - are we agreeing with Jesus & everything He says or are we agreeing with the lies? To address this question she looks at the story of Ben Hadad and Ahab in 1 Kings 20:1-21.
