When we understand the Bible as the drama of the mission of God, we then need to see that we are participants in the drama. We are actors “in the Bible” – somewhere between the resurrection of Christ and the return of Christ! So what does it mean to see the Bible and ourselves in this way, in relation to the mission of God? Spoiler alert: it changes a lot, because we are part of the story itself, not just spectators, or those who support other people to “get the job done”. Mission is God’s story.
