Drag is a world wide phenomenon. Rupaul’s Drag Race become so big that lots of queer and non queer pop people are waiting for the next season to start. When we look at Brussels, we all know the drag artists from Chez Mamen, Mademoiselle Cabaret and Benediction.

Queer is a term that has a long history and whose meaning seems to be evolving constantly.

In recent decades, it has been claimed and reclaimed by different groups within the community, it has been used to name TV programmes such as Queer Eye for a Straight Guy or series like Queer As Folk, and it was also adopted by academia in the fields of queer studies and queer theory.

KET declares itself a queer magazine, so we thought it was important to explain how we understand and use the word queer.

KET is a queer magazine that showcases the people who make Brussels shine, who make it a cosmopolitan, queer city open to the world. KET esplores about Art, Culture, Mode, Design, Gastronomy, Clubbing, Sports, Politics, History, Life experiences from a queer perspective. We'll talk about the people who create, who want to share their passions and who shape the Brussels queer art of living.
