  • Game 33: Gallinari and Young Tie the Celtics at Half, Help Lead the Hawks Past Boston

A historic shooting performance from Danilo Gallinari, the Rooster, and monster 1st quarter from Trae Young set the tone for the Hawks as they smash the Boston Celtics 127- 112. Gallinari makes his first 7 three pointers on his way to a franchise high 10 in the game, and the other Hawks follow suit to pour in 23 three pointers as a squad to set the franchise record as a team. The Celtics look like a team playing the second night of a back to back and without Kemba Walker are not able to match the onslaught of three pointers from Atlanta.

  • Game 32: Hawks Falter in Final Minute to Lose at Cleveland

The Hawks squander a 7 point fourth quarter lead to lose in brutal fashion to the Cavaliers. Kevin Huerter is fantastic, 22 points and 4! steals, but poor 3 point defense never allow the Hawks to build a big lead. Collin Sexton, 29 points, and Dylan Windler, 5-5 from 3 point land, carry the Cavs to their first win in 11 games.

  • Game 31: Trae's Third Quarter Knocks Out Nuggets

Trae Young is spectacular in the third quarter, 14 points and 5 assists, and helps lead the Hawks to a 123 -115 win over the visiting Denver Nuggets. 30 points from Jamal Murray is not enough and Clint Capela is able to limit MVP candidate Nikola Jokic to 15 points as the Hawks secure their 13th win of the season.

  • Game 30: Fourth Quarter Comeback Falls Short

A spirited effort by the Hawks second unit, Brandon Goodwin, Tony Snell, Solomon Hill, Danilo Gallinari, and Clint Capela, is not quite enough to pull the Hawks ahead of the Celtics. The Celtics got big showings from returning players Kemba Walker and Daniel Theis to build a 27 point lead that was enough to hold off the Hawks.

  • Game 27: Cold 4th Quarter Dooms Hawks Against Pacers

A hot shooting 4th quarter from the visiting Pacers (12-17 from the field, 13-16 from the freethrow line) combined with poor shooting from the Hawks (9-24 from the field, 4-6 from the freethrow line) wipes out a strong performance from the Hawks. The Pacers leave State Farm Arena with a 125-113 win by out scoring the home team 41-26 in the final period. Forrest looks at the performances on both sides of the ball and what the Hawks can do to break out of their losing streak.

  • Game 26: The Wheels Fall Off Against The Spurs

The Hawks come back to Atlanta after the tough loss to the Maverick's and get absolutely destroyed by the Spurs. The 114-125 margin does not describe the game in which the Hawks were down by as many as 42 points. The Hawks did get a strong performance from Skylar Mays, including a highlight dunk that Nique gave a 10, but otherwise were unable to hang with the team from San Antonio.

  • Game 25: Heartbreak in Dallas

Forrest talks about the Hawks brutal loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Despite a much better gameplan for the Mavs double team, the Hawks cannot hold onto a 9 point lead going into the 4th quarter. Huge performances from the Mavericks bench (51 points) of Tim Hardaway Jr., Jalen Brunson, and Willie Cauley Stein help the Mavs get a 118-117 win in Dallas. John Collins continues his strong play against the Mavericks and Trae drops 15 assists. Red Velvet also gets cooking with 23 points.
