Lyrics:

Gone Country

by Kevin Dellinger

12/5/2019

I reached a point in my life

Where I look back at the things I have done

Some of it was good

Some of it was bad

There was a turning point that made me sad

Did I make you proud of me?

Was I the best for you that I could be?

I have gone country

I have reached the middle of my life

I have struggled in my strife

I took it all in

Fighting with Sin

I have gone country

I took all that I could take

I left the rock back to its fate

I took it on the chin

Fighting with Sin

I know that I made stupid mistakes

It's a part of life that is not too great

I know I should have done better than that

But you were a crazy wild cat

Did I make you see what I could see?

Did you learn anything from that misery?

I have gone country

I have reached the middle of my life

I have struggled in my strife

I took it all in

Fighting with Sin

I have gone country

I took all that I could take

I wrapped a hip hop into its cage

I took it all in

Fighting with Sin
