If you want to become a management consultant you should better think about the right internship path to get into your dream consulting firm. But your first internship doesn't has to be a management consultancy internship. My time working in management consulting in a leading consultancy oppened a lot of doors for me. But I still think that there are a lot of negatives aspects of the management consulting industry. The negative sides of management consulting do exist. In this video I will be honest with you and share two major negatives of management consulting. For that I will also talk about a conversation I had with another friend of mine (also Consultant) who told me about a client project he did in strategy consulting that didn't really create any value. Other than that I will also talk about the myth that management consulting is always talked about as the perfect career start for future founders.

In this video I'm going to have a talk with Awiral who managed to get an internship at Goldman Sachs and is now a Senior Associate at the well known management consulting company Boston Consulting Group (BCG). I worked together with him for quite some time and he can give a lot of insights on getting into an Bulge bracket bank like Goldman Sachs - essentially how he got offers from bcg and from Goldman Sachs. After his internship at Goldman Sachs he successfully made the switch to MBB Consulting and is now a Senior Associate at BCG.
