On Christmas Eve in 1973, a hit-and-run would take place and leave one dead. To this day, the case remains unsolved, despite being the most extensive and expensive hit-and-run investigation in the history of the state of Connecticut. This implies the police immediately went to work on solving it, but unfortunately, they did not.
