One last aria as we march towards the grand finale for Key Exchanges. Is this the end? I have no idea, but in this episode I reflect on how far we’ve come as a show and I’m also joined by my friend John Arroyo with Ruby Red Media and we share some of our favorite moments from Season 2.
I cannot thank you enough for taking time out of your busy lives to slow down to listen to this show over the 85 episodes that we’ve been in existence.
· 4,963 minutes of Key Exchanges has been distributed since our first episode on October 5th, 2020
· We’ve been listened to in 44 different states (I’ve got my eye on you DE, ID, NH, SD, WV, and WY)
· Listened to in 41 different countries (shoutout Tajikistan as a country I’d never heard of and Germany for being our second most popular country)
· Listened to on all 6 continents that people actually live on
· Our listenership for new episodes grew 47% from Season 1 so far (it takes 90 days to get a true sample)
· when you factor in downloads of our first 55 episodes we more than doubled our listenership in the last 6 months.
All of this is completely mind blowing to me and truly speaks to the amazing cast of characters that make up our local real estate community. Thank you so much for being willing to tune in at some point along the way. I’m not sure what the next iteration of this will look like, but I’ve appreciated you joining me for this part of our journey. Thank you so much for listening to Key Exchanges in the 901.
We’re wrapping up season two and our second to last episode is a really special one that you’ll be glad you listened to immediately.
Our featured partners this week are Mid South Title and Sophie Sandlin Raines with Community Mortgage.
Michael Bryan is the broker/owner of Bryan Realty Group that has vaulted into a top 10% brokerage in the city and they’re wrapping up year 6 in business. He’s never going to be the flashiest one in the room but he’s built and incredibly impressive business by just steadily putting in the work and delivering for his clients over the course of his nearly 2 decades in the industry and the results speak for themselves.
In our second segment we have something never before seen on KE901. I have had several interviews where before or after the microphones are recording, I’m told an amazing story by a guest that just couldn’t be shared attached to their name on the show. In this episode I bring in several mystery guests who have been granted anonymity and I’ve been sworn to secrecy so that they can share some of the untold stories of Memphis real estate.
As always our show is powered by The Jason Woods Home Loan Team and Sophie Sandlin Raines who are two awesome loan officers with Community Mortgage.

Episode 83 is one that is a little sentimental to me because as we’re wrapping up this season, it gave me a chance to have some of my earliest guests from the start of the show back on and it reminded me why they were some of my first calls in the early days.
Our featured partners this week are Memphis Title Company and Black Tie Moving.
Rachel Guthrie with McWaters & Associates has actually been on the show once before. In one of our first few months of recorded we attempted to do a quick 5-minute feature on up and coming agents and she was one that I profiled before she really had things going. In the two years since then, she worked her ass off and built and incredibly impressive practice and because of that, I had no choice but to bring her back on and see how her first two years in the business have gone.
In our second segment we dove into a much needed conversation surrounding our current market conditions. It’s likely no surprise to anyone listening to this show that things have slowed down and I’ve had several guests on to talk about that. In this segment though, I spoke with Cassandra Bell-Warren with 4 Success Realty and Jessica Brown with Re/Max Experts and we talked about how to position your business gain market share in a slowing market and you won’t want to miss that convo.

Our featured partners this week are Ruby Red Media and The Jason Woods Home Loan Team with Community Mortgage .
Jonathan Nunez with Fast Track Realty is one of the more impressive young agents that I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing. There were never any handouts or easy roads for him to take and yet still he has managed to grind out an extraordinary start to his real estate career and his story is not like many that I’ve had the pleasure of hearing on this show.
Staying in front of your sphere of influence in incredibly important at all times of the year, but it’s common for many agents to utilize some sort of holiday marketing strategy to do that and with that in mind I brought two of my dear friends onto the show in Rachel Jacques with Reid Realtors and Abby Cook with Keller Williams.

It’s Thanksgiving week and this episode is all about families.
Our featured partners this week are Sophie Sandlin Raines with Community Mortgage and Memphis Title Company.
Ashlyn Clark is a buyer’s agent on The Clark Team with Keller Williams. She’s just hitting two years in the business and she’s also already qualified for the prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Club for her second straight year as well. She’s been killing it in residential real estate while also attending college full time and she’s done all of this before she’s legally allowed to have a beer. She’s freakishly impressive and someone I’m proud to call a new friend.
Real estate, more than a lot of other industries, has a ton of familial business models that have allowed some of the top producing teams in our city to work side by side with family members. In our second segment I rejoined by two of the people leading family teams the best in my friends Terri Porter with The Porter Group and Stacia Rosatti with Team Rosatti out of the Forest Hill office of Crye-Leike.

Episode 80 is one that captures some of the great strengths of the Memphis real estate community on this show because we are able to take a deep dive into the real estate journey of a legend in Memphis Real Estate and then bring two of the brightest minds in the city on to talk through a pressing issue that’s impacting many agents right now.
Our features partners this week are Mid South Title and Black Tie Moving.
Frances Anderson with Crye-Leike Southeast has been the top performing agent in her office for two decades now. She has a whole host of real estate accomplishments that you can stack against anyone in the industry, but she’s earned all of those accolades by running her business in a professional manner and striving to serve her clients well.
In our second segment we dive into some of the challenges that several agents have seen with deals that have fallen apart and some of the things to make sure are cleaned up before putting that deal to bed. My friends Taylor Hewgley with Mid South Title and Bill Malone with Crye-Leike Quail Hollow are in the studio sharing their knowledge from decades of serving our city well.

Great conversations across the board on today’s episode as we chat with a rising star in the business and two men with families that have been shaping our city for decades.
Our featured this week are The Jason Woods Home Loan Team with Community Mortgage and Mid South Title .
Elizabeth Gant has been a realtor with Re/Max Experts for 5 years now and is really hitting her stride in the business. Initially starting out as an unlicensed assistant, she climbed the ranks after steadily putting in the work and this year she has already locked in her third consecutive year as a qualifier for the prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Club and shows no signs of stopping her ascent.
The Vesta Home Show is open to the public starting Saturday November 12th through Sunday December 4th. As we are heading down the home stretch for the five builders participating in this year’s show, it made sense to have my friends David Clark with David Clark Construction and Jarod Wilder with The Longtown Company as they are two of the featured builders in this show and they gave us an awesome peek behind the curtain of all that goes into the special event.

Timing in life is everything. Things that could have seemed awful in the moment, are seen as massive blessings when viewed through the life further down your timeline. Other times timing that you thought felt perfect in the moment turns out to be just a month too late to allow you to feel the benefits of your decisions. In Episode 78 of KE901, we’ll dive into several conversations surrounding timing and how to make the most of circumstances when the timing is a little off.
Our featured partners this week are Black Tie Moving and Ruby Red Media.
Melissa Reed with BHHS McLemore & Company is a new friend in my life but someone who has steadily been building an impressive reputation for herself in the in the business over the course of her eight years in the career. She has leaned into her small town roots to build a sphere in the Memphis-area that has set her apart as one of the top agents within her impressive brokerage.
Our second segment is one that was put together because of the number of conversations I’ve had over the last few weeks/months surrounding deals falling apart and homes having to go back on the market after previously being under contract. With that in mind, there aren’t two better seasoned agents that I could’ve brought on than my friends Maureen Fraser with John Green & Company and Rachel Baggett Gilliam with Crye-Leike Bartlett to discuss this topic.

The three women featured in Episode 77 reach the very highest rung of respect that I could have for anyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in this industry and I was incredibly grateful for the conversations we were able to have this week.
Our featured partners this week are Sophie Sandlin Raines with Community Mortgage and Memphis Title Company.
Meatha Tapley is a realtor associate at the Crye-Leike Quail Hollow office and a rockstar member of the Tyler Tapley Team. She moved to the Memphis area from Knoxville and got licensed 16 years ago without really having much of a network established in the region. Prior to marrying Tyler and forming one of the top performing teams in our area, she was a standout agent in N. Mississippi and one of everyone’s most beloved co-op agents. She’s one of my favorites in the industry and I’m glad we were able to have her on the show.
Starting out as a new agent is one of the more challenging leaps to take under any market conditions, but even more so as we’re seeing a slight pull back from the thriving pace we’ve been operating at the last several years. With that in mind it was great to bring back some of my best friends in the industry in Sarah Layson with Keller Williams and Paige Holmes with Coldwell Banker Collins-Maury to discuss what they would do if they were starting their super star careers all over today.

Often times it is the experiences that we have in life that help shape us into the professionals that we will become and that could not have been modeled more perfectly that with my guests this week in Episode 76.
Our featured partners this week are Mid South Title and Black Tie Moving .
Melanie Blakeney with Marx-Bensdorf Realtors spent decades of her life working in real estate prior to becoming an agent, most notably serving at the CEO of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors. The results she’s been achieving in her four years as a realtor are nothing short of extraordinary, but so is her experience and it’s easy to see why clients are flocking to her professionalism and calming nature.
Following in the footsteps of an incredibly accomplished parent is no easy feat for anyone, but Jon Dickens with The Firm and Sophie Sandlin Raines with Community Mortgage have made it look far easier than it actually has been. These two rock stars are performing at some of the very highest levels in our city on their own merits while managing the expectations that come from the family accomplishments. It was a truly enlightening conversation to hear about their journey, struggles, and triumphs along the way.
