Owning or managing a restaurant may seem like a fun past time but it is arduous. People tend to over emphasize the upside without consideration for all the work and worry.

Jim is stuck in limbo when his Cardiac Doctor goes on vacation and his clearance documents are incomplete. Since he can't work out at his gym, he joins another gym for a week to get a little rehab on.

Jim always thought people were predominately good, but it took a health scare to prove it. A local business owner decides to let everyone know he is a racist. Budweiser takes a stand for tolerance and inclusivity. Time will tell which stance a better business move. My prediction is history and profit will prove Budweiser the wiser.

Jim delves into the handshake. Used for hundreds of years it has seen a decline in popularity since Covid. It all comes down to rituals and comfort on whether you fist bump, shake, bow, nod, or gobble.

Bar Rescue is a show where people get screamed at for half the time by an older fat man with dyed hair, a raspy voice, in a black suit. To top it off your Bar doesn't get rescued if it's well run, employees are hardworking, your kitchen is clean and you're not in debt to your tits.

Jim's hard truth is that some people will not be happy. That is in work and in life. Pop psychology calls them toxic personalities. We do ourselves a disservice by either catering or continuing to engage them.
