In this episode, Jake answers a question that came in from a listener: "If a born-again Christian has a demon, does the demonic influence interfere at all with the gift of eternal life that is promised through the death and resurrection of Jesus?" Starting with this question, Jake gives biblical insight into the connection between salvation and deliverance. Deliverance from the kingdom of darkness is part of what Jesus paid for on the cross, and salvation and deliverance are closely related. A Christian needing deliverance does not negate their salvation; it is simply a part of their journey of transformation in Christ!

In this episode, Jake looks at biblical examples and shares personal stories of healing that came to people through deliverance from demonic influence. While not every sickness is caused by a demon, there is clearly a close connection between healing and deliverance. Listen and be set free from the spirit of infirmity!

The main way that deliverance from demonic influence happens is by closing the door to the enemy and casting out evil spirits. We do this with the authority that Jesus has given us in His name. However, there are also various spiritual weapons that we can employ to aid the process of deliverance as the Holy Spirit leads us. In this episode, Jake shares about five specific weapons of spiritual warfare that can be used to break demonic chains and set captives free. Learn to use these weapons for your own freedom or when you minister to others!

The Bible says that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds (see Romans 12:2). This is one of the keys to staying free from demonic influence. In this episode, Jake talks about how the mind is a significant battlefield in spiritual warfare. He shares how once you have been delivered from demonic influence, there is often a process of renewing the mind that follows. The enemy seeks to keep us bound by lies, but we can learn to renew our mind with truth and take thoughts captive. As your mind is renewed, you will be established in freedom!
