God's Spirit and Word will empower us to take control of run-away thoughts, desires, and emotions. Just because we think or feel something, it doesn't mean that these are in our heart. Consequently, we must guard our hearts and learn how to contend for the faith, so that Satan isn't effective in spoiling our spiritual fruit.
