Are you scared of commitment?
In contrast to the world, which tries to lower the bar of commitment, we as followers of Jesus are called higher. The call is to embrace a deeper, more meaningful level of devotion - one that involves making intentional, life-changing choices to follow Him and say no to the distractions and temptations of the world. The church is meant to be a light, a bold voice, and a place where people can find fulfillment and contentment in Christ.
Be challenged and encouraged to take your relationship with God seriously. Dive deeply into scripture, knowing that the more of God's Word you internalize, the more equipped you become to live out your calling. Just as the early church in Acts was devoted to one another, meeting each other's needs and spreading the hope of Christ, we too should live out our commitment to God and to each other.

Have you ever missed the moment to tell someone about Jesus?
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit marks the era of the Church—a new normal where the disciples were empowered to boldly proclaim the gospel. Today, the Holy Spirit calls us to embrace this new normal, to step out in faith and share the message that "Jesus Saves!"
The enemy seeks division, but we are called to build a church that reflects God’s beautiful diversity, where unity doesn’t mean uniformity. Our strength lies in our differences, as we mirror the mosaic of His Kingdom.
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is for this purpose: to proclaim the gospel boldly. As we seek to live out the book of Acts, we must ask ourselves not “Why aren’t we seeing these things?” but “Are we willing to live the way the early Church did?”

This sermon highlights the significance of Pentecost and the power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. Biblically, Pentecost marks the anniversary of God speaking to His people and setting them free through the power of His Spirit. Pentecost should not be a term that invokes fear or confusion.
The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. The same Spirit we experience in church on Sundays is the same Spirit that dwells inside of you 24/7. No matter what your past experiences or background may be regarding the Holy Spirit, be encouraged to not get caught up in terminology, but rather focus on seeking God with a fervent heart.
The true movement of the Holy Spirit brings glory to God, not to man. Seek the Lord and pray daily for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, because it is a GIFT from God. He wants to teach you to walk by His Spirit, not by your flesh, so you can continually grow and be empowered to live for His kingdom.

You Were Made to Endure Through Christ Jesus!
The apostles saw firsthand the power and authority Jesus displayed, and He called them—and us—to be His witnesses throughout the earth. No one is too far gone for God to transform, and we see this in the lives of those He used in the Bible. Just as Peter testified in Acts 1:15-16, God’s promises will always come to pass and we can trust the Word of the Lord!
We learn through the life of Judas Iscariot that when we give in to sin and the desires of the flesh, we choose a spiritual death. As new covenant believers who have received the gift of the Holy Spirit, we now don’t have to make decisions by casting lots like they did before pentecost. Instead, we can follow the Spirit’s leading in every decision of our lives, yielding to God's power and direction.
No matter where you are in your walk, God is still working in you, and you are made to endure!

In this message titled ‘Ascending Faith’, the focus is on the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives as we begin a series exploring the book of Acts. We all need equipping, training, and power to accomplish God's work—and Jesus promises not to leave us to do it on our own.
The message urges us to keep our eyes on eternity, but not lose sight of what God is doing today. The Holy Spirit is not just a feeling; He is the power that enables us to be living witnesses of Jesus’ power in our everyday lives. Are we truly walking in the power of the Spirit and shining His light, as Matthew 5:14-16 reminds us that we are called to do?
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives within us. The reality is, many have become unaware of this profound truth. We are called to not only BE a witness but to BE EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit to live out our faith with strength and purpose today.

“In this powerful sermon from our Selah Series, we dive into the story of the Israelites, focusing on their 40-year journey of wandering in the wilderness. Despite God's unwavering faithfulness, the people were often ensnared by fear and doubt, choosing to focus on their circumstances rather than on the promises and power of God. As we explore this narrative, we learn three essential postures for navigating our own journey of faith:
1. Looking Back: Reflect on all that God has done in our lives—how He has redeemed us and saved us. The Israelites' journey teaches us that it's important to remember God's faithfulness in the past as a foundation for trust in the present.
2. Living in the Here and Now: Obedience to the Lord is key. Even in uncertain times, God calls us to walk in faith and to listen for His voice in the everyday moments of our lives. When we keep our eyes on Him, we can navigate the present with confidence.
3. Remembering His promises for the Future: God has a plan and a promise for each of us. Just as He declared victory over the Israelites, He declares a purpose over your life. No matter the obstacles, God will empower and strengthen you to fulfill the calling He has placed on your heart.
The story of the 12 spies sent into the Promised Land illustrates the dangers of letting fear and doubt dictate our perspectives. While 10 of the spies reported back with fear, questioning God's ability to deliver, Caleb and Joshua trusted in God's promises. Their courage came from looking to God rather than the challenges ahead.
When we focus more on "plotting" (worrying, strategizing in our own strength) than "praying" (aligning our hearts with God's will), we risk losing faith. The message reminds us that being afraid is a momentary action, but staying in fear is a choice. We are encouraged to boldly approach the throne of grace, to still our hearts and minds before the Lord, and to catch our thoughts before they catch us.

"This message invites us to reflect on who we want to become in the coming year and whether we are open to the maturing process God has for us. It highlights the dangers of living in a "downhill season," where we feel out of control, stressed, and distracted. The key question posed is whether we are willing to align our lives with God's will, or if we will continue to rush through life without purpose or direction.
Using the story of Mary and Martha from Luke 10, Pastor Chris underscores the dangers of being pulled in multiple directions, emphasizing that busyness—often seen as a virtue—should not be equated with productivity or fulfillment. Jesus sees past our actions and looks at the condition of our hearts, reminding us that life is not about rushing to be first, but about following God’s pace and resting in His presence.
The core theme is about learning to set our eyes on Jesus and adopting a pace of rest, which contrasts with a hurried, anxious lifestyle. When was the last time you were intentional about stillness? Stillness is not laziness; it’s about making space for God to work. Even God, in His creative wisdom, established rest as essential for us to be with Him and receive renewal.
Ultimately, the message calls us to examine our time and priorities: What are we doing to build God's Kingdom and become the person He has created us to be? It’s a challenge to slow down, focus on what truly matters, and embrace the process of growth and maturity in God’s timing.

“In this powerful look at Mark 15 and the mysterious ending of the Gospel of Mark, the sermon titled “The Un:Ending" challenges us to reframe our understanding of both Jesus’ mission and our place in the ongoing story of God’s work in the world. Jesus, the God-incarnate Savior, came not to rule like the kings of the world, but to bring restoration, healing, and reconciliation between God and mankind. He did this by going to the outcasts, speaking life where there was death, and ultimately laying down His life for the salvation of humanity.
At the heart of the message lies the profound truth found in Mark 15: "He is not here." These words, spoken at Jesus' empty tomb, mark the turning point in history, where the earthly ministry of Jesus seemingly ends but the story continues—without a definitive conclusion. The abrupt ending in Mark, especially with early manuscripts omitting the final verses (Mark 16:9-20), invites us to consider three key truths:
"This sermons explores the profound spiritual significance of Jesus' death on the cross and its transformative impact on humanity. Here are some key points:
1. Death Isn't Just the End of Life: The sermon argues that death is not merely the absence of a pulse, but the absence of God. This spiritual death is emphasized in Ephesians 2:1, which describes people as being "dead in trespasses and sins."
2. The Fall and Separation from God: Referring to Genesis 3:17, death entered the world through sin, marking humanity's separation from God—an event that fundamentally altered the relationship between God and mankind.
3. Jesus' Death and the Cross: The sermon stresses that the death of Jesus was not just a singular, horrific event, but the initiation of a movement of reconciliation between humanity and God. Mark 15:35-38 highlights the moment Jesus died, and Matthew 27:51 details the tearing of the temple veil, symbolizing the removal of the barrier between God and humanity. This act was a pivotal moment where everything changed.
4. The Presence of God Restored: 2 Corinthians 3:16 reminds us that the Holy Spirit came to dwell within believers, indicating that through Jesus' sacrifice, God's presence is now living inside all who believe.
5. Jesus Died So We Could Live: Jesus’ death wasn’t just about His own suffering, but was an act of love to enable us to experience new life, both spiritually and eternally.
