Today we are going to visit the first quarantine hospital in the United States. Located in outside of Philadelphia, where the Delaware and the Schuylkill rivers meet is the Lazaretto Quarantine Station.  This place wasn't just a place to quarantine diseases but also an immigration station. Maybe your ancestor came through the Lazaretto!

Today’s episode takes us to the little town of Jim Thorpe. Jim Thorpe is located in Carbon County in Northeastern Pennsylvania. On June 22nd, 1877, the largest mass execution in Pennsylvania history occurred. 10 (?) alleged members of an Irish secret society, the Molly Maguires, were hanged in Pottsville and Mauch Chunk (known today as Jim Thorpe). One man declared his innocence and left a mark to stand for everyone to see.
