  • The Family Room - The Surrender Project
Guest: Vic Clesceri, executive coach, college professor, and founder of The Surrender Project

From the time we enter school, we are pushed to succeed, measuring success by entering the next grade level. Is it any wonder we now lose sleep over what we haven’t accomplished, thinking we are a failure? We seek peace, freedom, and joy, but believe it’s tied to success.

Vic Clesceri spent several decades coaching people toward success and discovered a wonderful secret: peace begins with surrender. During his own internal struggle, Vic sensed God challenging him to give Him his heart, not his hustle. Through that, Vic left his successful career and discovered God’s plan for his life: teaching total surrender.

His extensive coaching experience led him to develop a unique program called The Surrender Project, a faith-rooted movement focused on spiritual formation, vocational discernment, and whole-life surrender. The program begins with a free Surrender Assessment to determine your baseline of surrender. Using fifty questions, the assessment shows where you land on a five-level scale. Vic’s book, The Way of Surrender, offers fifty practical maxims teaching you how to discover and surrender the baggage you’re not supposed to carry. His companion book, Seasons of Surrender, shows how faith and practice intersect. Learn how surrendering isn’t a one-time event, but a way to tap into the Holy Spirit at all times of your day.

Guest biography: Vic Clesceri is a management executive, professor, consultant, and certified coach. He possesses 30 years of corporate experience across multiple industries in senior leadership positions complemented by 23 years of professorship experience and 13 years as a consultant and coach. He currently serves as the Herbert E. Markley Visiting Executive Professor at Miami University and facilitates leadership programs at Mount St. Joseph University and Xavier University.

  • Focus on the Family with Jim Daly - Understanding How Birth Order Impacts Your Marriage

Generally speaking, firstborns are leaders, middle children are peacemakers, and the babies of the family are playful. And while it’s challenging to understand your children’s dynamics when it comes to their birth order, these traits hold true for you and your spouse, as well. Dr. Kevin Leman helps you understand how birth order plays a role in the way you interact as a married couple and shares advice on how to manage challenges in your relationship that often stem from your placement in your family of origin.

  • Josh McPherson - The Cure for National Amnesia

Pastor Josh McPherson teaches from Nehemiah 8 about the power of God’s Word to awaken individuals, reform cultures, and shape nations. When people forget God, they lose the story they are living in and become vulnerable to destructive lies. But when Scripture is publicly proclaimed, clearly explained, and faithfully obeyed, it produces conviction, worship, gratitude, reformation, and the joy of the Lord.
