Points of note not clarified in the interview:

• For Medicare beneficiaries, the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 to December 7.

• For people shopping for individual plans on the Health Insurance Marketplace (not on Medicare or Medicaid), open enrollment runs from November 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025. To start coverage by January 1, 2025, it’s best to enroll by December 15, 2024 but it is not the official deadline.
