The Taliban announced its new "caretaker" government today. The new cabinet includes Mullah Hassan Akhund as the new acting prime minister, who is currently on the United Nations sanctions list; Siraj Haqqani, who has been appointed Minister of Interior is listed by the FBI as a designated terrorist and Taliban deputy, wanted by the U.S. government for terror attacks and his ties to al Qaeda; and former Gitmo detainee, Mullah Abdul Haq Waseeq, appointed as Afghan Intelligence Chief.
