That’s according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office which released the findings of the analysis of the bill Thursday.  So is this bad news or was it expected? One of the items on that bill : $7.5b allocated for grants to build charging stations, about half of President Biden’s plan to move the country toward EV’s was on full display Thursday.  The Biden administration wants automakers to raise gas mileage and cut tailpipe pollution between now and model year 2026, and it won a voluntary commitment Thursday from the industry that electric vehicles comprise up to half of U.S. sales by the end of the decade.

President Joe Biden on Thursday offered “profound gratitude” to law enforcement officers who responded to the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection as he signed legislation to award them Congressional Gold Medals for their service. The president thanked the officers for saving the lives of members of Congress during those “tragic hours” of the attack seven months ago.
