The intelligence community predicts the Taliban would likely “roll back much of the past two decades’ progress” on women’s rights if the group again seized power in Afghanistan after U.S. troops left in September, according to a recently declassified report. The report, drafted by the high-level analytic unit within the intelligence community called the National Intelligence Council, was first revealed by Senator Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat from New Hampshire and longstanding advocate of women’s rights in Afghanistan.

ABC's Entertainment Reporter, Jason Nathanson - It seemed pretty simple – lawmakers in Tennessee wanted to honor Brothers Osborne singer TJ Osborne as a trailblazer, after the singer became the first openly gay artist signed to a major country music label. The measure commending him passed the Tennessee Senate unanimously – but it’s being held up in the house, and effectively killed, by Republican lawmakers who says they have “concerns.” Many of Osborne’s fellow country stars are outraged, and Osborne himself says the move “hurts.”
