    Shownote:

Let go of what let go of you

9 More Things You Have To Let Go Already

    1. Thinking you're not ready.

Nobody is ever 100 percent ready for the opportunities that come his or her way. The best opportunities stretch us beyond our limits.

    2. Rigid plans.

Your 5 year plan, your life plan, the plan for the next month. Life comes at you fast, so stay loose. I’ve been known to dig my heels in when plans are changing, and 2020 has tested me beyond belief. Leave rigid plans behind, go with the flow, but be responsible.

    3. Holding grudges.

They're a waste of time and a hindrance to your happiness. The sooner you forgive, the sooner you can move on.

    4. Having a sense of entitlement.

The sooner we understand we're all equal, the faster we can succeed together.

    5. Trying to do everything alone.

The better you understand that things are easier and more fun together, the faster you will realize you don't have to do everything alone.

    6. Excuses

It is time to let go of excuses.

You didn’t go to the gym because the weather was bad, equals an excuse.

Let’s be honest you didn’t go because you didn’t want to. You didn’t want to do the work to make yourself a healthier person.

You give excuses to make yourself feel better about the decisions you didn’t take, when you should have taken them.

Which in turn, gives you a false sense of safety.

It’s time to let those excuses go.

Let yourself feel the real reasons why you didn’t do what you should have.  This way you won’t feel comforted by an excuse.

Instead, you will feel motivated by the truth.

    7. Holding on to relationships that bring you down.

Negative people are everywhere, but most of the time we don't have to be in a relationship with them.

    8. Trying to live up to people's expectations.

Do whatever you can to set high standards for yourself, and then do everything you can to meet them. Other people's expectations are none of your concern.

    9. Placing People On An Unrealistic Pedestal

So many times we want our friends or our partners to do exactly what we would do for them.  Thing is that will never happen because guess what you and them are not the same!

Your friends or your spouse are not you, will never be you, and will not do exactly what you think they should do.

The point of having friends and/or a partner is that you accept them for who they are.

You know them and you know what their reactions will be.  You may not like their reactions or how they go about things but, you have to face the fact that you can’t change them.

You can’t overreact when your spouse or friend does something wrong or doesn’t do it the way you would have done it.

    They are human.

They are going to mess up!

It’s up to you to accept them and love them for who they are and what they are.

    สรุปศัพท์

    1. Rigid (adj) เคร่งครัด
    2. Hold grudge ยึดติด, เก็บความแค้น, ไม่ปล่อยผ่าน, จองเวรจองกรรม
    3. Entitlement (n.) อภิสิทธิ์
    4. Unrealistic pedestal หิ้งหรือความคาดหวังที่เกินจริง

    🟢 If you are persistent:

    - You doggedly pursue results and are willing to consider different ways to get there

    - You may repeat yourself in an effort to persuade

    - You ask questions sincerely and listen eagerly for new information

    - You are eager to learn, are open to new ideas, and will change direction or method upon hearing something new and relevant to the situation at hand

    - You may drive people crazy with your determination, energy, and relentless pursuit

    🔴 If you are stubborn:

    - You doggedly hold to a single position or course of action

    - You repeat yourself whether anyone is listening or not

    - You ask few questions and can be quite vocal about how little you care for the opinions of others

    - You have no intentions of learning, hearing new ideas, or moving away from your firmly stated position or plan

    - You will drive people crazy with your inability to hear, learn, and change in any way

🟢 Persistence is positive and is “results-based.”

🔴 Stubborn is negative and is “ego-based.”

🟢Persistence is characterized by "will power."

🔴 Stubbornness is characterized by "won't power."

    "No I won't."

"Yes I will." "Yes I can."

    🔵 สรุปศัพท์

Jordan Peterson :  Beyond Order

    (สรุปย่อจาก Growthabit.com)

Rule I: Do not carelessly denigrate social institutions or creative achievement.

This Rule describes the relationship between stability (order) and innovation (chaos) and how social institutions, countries, governments, and systems need to have both to function properly.

Rule II: Imagine who you could be and then aim single-mindedly at that.

Rule III: Do not hide unwanted things in the fog.

This Rule explains the importance of facing negative information and emotions such as grief, pain, anxiety, and fear in life.

Rule IV: Notice that opportunity lurks where responsibility has been abdicated.

This Rule explains that we shouldn’t align our lives toward happiness, but toward meaning and purpose.

Rule V: Do not do what you hate.

    Rule VI: Abandon ideology.

This Rule explains why cookie cutter and “one-solution takes care of everything” approaches don’t work. The world is a complex place and most ideologies are partial, since they don’t take into account all of the world’s complexities.

Rule VII: Work as hard as you possibly can on at least one thing and see what happens.

This Rule explains the importance of disciplined striving toward a single direction in life.

Rule VIII: Try to make one room in your home as beautiful as possible.

This Rule explains the necessity of art (not decoration) in a person’s life.

Rule IX: If old memories still upset you, write them down carefully and completely.

This Rule emphasizes the importance of reframing the old, painful, and unpleasant memories into experiences that don’t hold the power over you.

Rule X: Plan and work diligently to maintain the romance in your relationship.

If you want to have a functional, healthy, and long-lasting romantic relationship, you will need to learn how to negotiate with your significant other.

Rule XI: Do not allow yourself to become resentful, deceitful, or arrogant.

Rule XII: Be grateful in spite of your suffering.
