  • S1 Ep. 6- LIFE SPEAKZ! Be Encouraged, Guard Your Mentals, and Continue the Fight!

WE BACK! After a 2 week hiatus (and some technical difficulties) the two most dangerous minds, K3D and Law, are back on the mic. This week we bring back Nása for our conversation as well as introduce a new guest: Josiah Salette aka Juba. In this episode, Juba takes the opportunity to explain what LifeSpeakz is all about. We also delve into the importance of staying encouraged, why mental healthcare is important (looking at you Kanye!!) and how we can continue the fight after losing two great Civil Rights Leaders, Rev. C.T. Vivian and Rep. John R. Lewis. Please follow @jovizh on Instagram and also follow @lifespeakz to see more of their community efforts. Be on the look out for Nása's new project coming soon and follow her on IG @_callmenasa. Be sure to follow @k3dthepro on Instagram and Twitter and Law on IG @l.jr_96. • S1 Ep. 5- MASK ON! Entanglements and Hamilton
Due to technical difficulties, I could not get my co-host Law or any other guests on this one. So I'm riding solo again on this episode. This week I talk about the importance of wearing a mask during this pandemic (seriously, WEAR A F***IN MASK!), as well as share my thoughts on Jada Pinkett-Smith and her "entanglement" with R&B singer, August Alsina. I also want to share my thoughts on Hamilton: The Musical and give a shoutout to some Black businesses & podcasts out there as well.

  • S1 Ep. 4 - PROTECT YOUR ENERGY! The Music of Our Times Pt. 3: State of R&B

Law and I are back and this time, we have our first GUESTS! Arianna Calloway aka AriLashell and Chinasa Abiakam aka Nása join us for a riveting discussion about protecting our energy, drowning out negative thoughts, and being happy with yourself. And of course, these two are SONGBIRDS so you know we had to talk about the state of R&B in our culture. Be sure to follow us on Instagram: @k3dthepro, @l.jr_96, @arilashell, and @_callmenasa. • S1 Ep. 3- The Juneteenth Episode: My Anger and My Adolescence

*This is a solo episode*. So I decided this would be the Juneteenth episode because this episode really reflects on how I am feeling right now in society. As an African American male, I am livid on how my people still continue to struggle.  And you will hear my anger and how I try to fight back the pain and tears. But I also reflect on me as a whole, how I grew up trying to find love, why those situations didn't work, and how I had to purge myself of toxic traits to become a better person. But still, the fear of rejection has always played a role in my life and I have to overcome that.

  • S1 Ep. 2- Community Reactions and The Music of Our Times Part 2

In this episode, Law and myself dig deep into the happenings of our communities and how we can combat the negativity surrounding the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. We also have a discussion about how hip hop changed from when we were growing up to what it is now and some of our favorites from 2020

  • Season 1 Episode 1: Our Current Climate and the Music of Our Times Part 1

For our first episode, it wouldn't be right if we didn't discuss the current climate of our community after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. So me and my co-host, Lawrence Suggs aka Law (a fellow Hamptonian and alum member of the Marching FORCE), talk about the situation as well as play music that inspires us and played a major role in our lives. Some of the tunes we play may be songs that helped you get through a rough patch. Some of the songs are just music you enjoyed. And some...well we played for OBVIOUS reasons. Also the music isn't professionally overlapped so please be patient with us LOL I'll be sure to do it next episode. DISCLAIMER: there will be some cussing. We do try to limit the language but you will hear us use it. I do apologize in advance. ANOTHER DISCLAIMER: I do not own the rights to any of the songs played nor am I profiting off of any of these songs. I play the music strictly to enjoy it. And I hope you enjoy it as well!
