    Monte Yellowbird is a First Nations artist dedicated to sharing his experiences as he weaves storytelling, culture, traditions and art. He says, "At this stage in my life, with a lot of hard work, determination, failures and successes, I have made my dreams of being an artist a reality". We asked him what it took to get there, what he tries to embody in his art, and how he navigates his traditional spiritual roots with the Christian beliefs his mother passed on to him. He'll be speaking at the Teton County Library on Wednesday July 6th at 6pm and his work will be at the Art Fair this weekend.

  • KHOL - Brain Injuries and Sports Addressed by Local Non-Profit
    Aaron Hallenbach was on track to compete in the Olympics for snowboarding when the accumulated effects from brain injuries caused him to shift paths. He is just one of the athletes on a panel this evening for an event hosted by Watershed Jackson. They present a special showing of the major motion picture, Concussion, which follows a forensic pathologist who fights against efforts by the National Football League to suppress his research on chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) brain degeneration. We talked with Aaron as well as Carli Lyon about repeat concussions and brain injuries to athletes.
    The panel and film take place at the Pink Garter Theater at 7:30pm.

  • KHOL - Town Council Changes District #2 Ordinance Proposal and More
    Jackson Hole's Vice Mayor Hailey Morton Levinson joined us before the Town Council Meeting on Monday, July 5th (at 6pm in the Council Chambers)for an update on government matters. The Council changed the ordinance for the Downtown Commercial District Development Regulations, a hot topic that will either create more workforce housing or favor economic growth. Also on the docket is whether the "Munger Mountain" school proposed for Hog Island will connect to the county sewer system and if a cell tower disguised as a Lutheran Church bell tower rising to 55ft. should be approved.

    Every Thursday throughout the summer, we'll have a world-renowned musician from the Grand Teton Music Festival joining us on-air at 8:30am. Executive Director and musician Andrew Todd joined us to talk about their opening weekend, which is jam-packed full of musical goodness. The lineup includes the patriotic 4th of July concert, which can be heard in the Teton Village Commons as well as in the Festival Hall.
