Today I catch up with an old friend, Michael Johnson, who has drifted out of the public eye since the premature end to his Man City career in 2012. Join us as we discuss some old Man City memories, shifting priorities away from football to focus on recovery and self-care, and why, if given the chance, he wouldn't have done it any differently

I talk to my former teammate about his journey from his youth club, Rijeka in Croatia to Union Berlin and on to the US, hear his unique perspective on the game, make him deflect a barrage of compliments and really enjoy him being extremely wholesome.

This week we head to a cafe in Gibraltar to catch up with the elusive Stephen Ireland. Things don't always go the way you plan, especially in football, but Stephen has met those career hurdles with dignity and professionalism. In this conversation, we relive some of his iconic moments, and Stephen opens up about how it felt to be on the outside looking into situations and squads he was more than qualified to be part of.  Our phone connection was not great, but stick with it, the insights that come from the mind of this man are worth the trip.
