Johnny and Kevin are fighting colds but back for the fifteenth episode of the podcast! They begin by recapping the quite bland movie Love and Honor (2:20) and picking a new movie to watch from the refreshed with bad movies bowl (16:45). Johnny takes a few minutes to read a few words from our sponsors (21:45) and the two discuss Facebook’s potential demise in the Cambridge Analytica scandal (30:55). Johnny and Kevin are back watching the movie Love and Honor, a movie set in the rarely discussed 1960s. Listen along as the two cringe through the romantic plots and most of the lines coming out of Liam Hemsworth’s mouth. A muddled and confusing plot matches muddled and confusing characters in this muddled and confusing movie that only made $16,000 at the box office. Johnny and Kevin also celebrate a Sunday Brunch recording by eating some cinnamon rolls. Green tint! *Please note Safe Haven was taken off Netflix at the time of the recording, so Love and Honor was chosen. It has a 5.7 on IMDB and 13% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s bad.

Kevin gives props to Johnny about an under-appreciated John Cusack joke (14:00) and the two name their favorite romantic comedy movie (15:30). Must Love Dogs is a movie all about dogs and dates. Dogs and Dates. So join Johnny and Kevin in this classic early 2000s romantic comedy that features Diane Lane and John Cusack as two attractive people speaking very artificial dialogue. Watch and listen as the two discuss their man crush on Dermot Mulroney, cringe through a subplot involving a fifteen year old boy, and joke that the quick cuts of Christopher Plummer gleefully chortling were him laughing at people tripping off camera. They also discuss a very important question, how many beers could you drink while watching Doctor Zhivago?

Johnny and Kevin are back in Johnny’s bedroom for another discussion episode! Kevin gloats about winning his Oscar Pool contest and the two give a recap of the Academy Awards Ceremony highlights (2:15). The two then think back on the bland future scenes and terrible third act of The Lovers (12:15). A new bad movie suggestion is added to the bowl (20:00) and of course the next hot streaming Netflix turd is chosen (22:10). Johnny and Kevin then talk about the Mueller Investigation and Sam Nunberg’s nervous breakdown from Monday (27:45). And finally the podcast ends OF COURSE with a basketball conversation on the standings in the West (41:15) and standings in the East (46:45).

Johnny and Kevin are back to see if the Josh Hartnett 2015 movie The Lovers is any good. Spoiler alert- it’s not! But listen along as Johnny and Kevin do Scottish accents and try to figure out what’s going on amongst the three kings, seven queens, and hundreds of British white men characters in this time traveling movie. Did we mention there was time traveling?
