Hello friends! It's normal to be afraid of riding. I cannot make a long description today, but I explain in the episode. Next time!
There is lots of things you need to know/have for Eventing or horseback riding. Such as boots that fit your riding style, a riding helmet that fits, "sun sense", NO SHORTS, and more! Hope to see you equestrians soon!
Cantering can be way more different, surprising, scary, weird, whatever you want to call it... At first. My experience starting off to canter my horse was like that. It felt very surprising, different, and scary. I explain this in the episode. But don't worry- if you trust your horse, your riding instructor, and yourself, nothing bad will happen (And BTW, falling happens eventually if you're a rider.). You rock!
Trotting is a very unique and fun gait of riding your horse, and it can feel scary at first when you're just getting used to riding and your horse. But I promise, after a few practices it gets better and definitely way more fun! Trotting is unlike other gaits, you can tell diagonals, do the sitting and rising trot, which I review how to do in the episode. If you listen, please check in with your instructor first. I don't want to mess you up, this is just how I was trained to trot. Same with future gait reviews. Bye!
